Jimmy Fallon shares a snap of him meeting Pope Francis during his family’s summer vacation in Italy
Jimmy Fallon bids farewell to the summer months and shares a photo series from his vacation in Italy, where he met Pope Francis.
The 49-year-old comedian posted a message on Instagram on Thursday, saying goodbye to the summer of 2024 with snapshots from his family vacation.
He also shared 15 photos with his 27.2 million followers in a post titled “Arrived, Summer 2024” and the hashtag #photodump.
The news came just weeks after The Tonight Show host mocked Australian breakdancer Raygun shortly after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The first photo shows the comedian with his wife of 17 years, Nancy Juvonen, and their two daughters, Winnie, 11, and Frances, 9.

The happy family stands on a jetty at an Italian lake or river, the name of which is not included in the post.
In the next photo, Fallon is clearly happy to meet Pope Francis. He is seen shaking hands with the talk show host.
He also showed paintings from an Italian museum, a photo of the host holding a huge ice cream cone and a photo of his dish from Armando Al Patheon in Rome.
Fallon also shared a selfie of himself looking out at the iconic Colosseum and another of him at a sheep farm.
He also shared some photos from France, including a coffee shop called Cafe de Flore in Paris and their drink that looks like Fallon.
The last two shots show him at a desk, working with NBC’s Mike Tirico during the 2024 Olympics in Paris, and on the Eiffel Tower.
Just before The Tonight Show was temporarily put on hiatus as NBC conducted extensive coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Fallon celebrated a major milestone.
The talk show host celebrated his 2,000th show, which he discussed in his monologue at the end of July.

“I got an email from NBC today saying, ‘Congratulations on 2,000 shows! You just unlocked a free month of Peacock,’” Fallon joked.
A screenshot of the email was shown to the audience and Fallon continued, “I just want to thank everyone for watching, or at least falling asleep during the Chicago PD and keeping the TV on.”
“It counts. It means a lot,” the host said, adding, “There are two things that keep me going, night after night.”
“Entertaining millions of people around the world and getting cheap applause from the best live audience we’ve ever had!” Jimmy said, causing the crowd to cheer in their seats.
“But you guys have helped me through so much, like in 2019 when I tried bangs,” he said, as an image of him with short, straight bangs appeared on the screen.
