Jimmy Carr has been branded ‘painfully unfunny’ by viewers after sharing a selection of his controversial jokes from his Netflix show as a plug for his US tour.

At the time, it came months after Jimmy stunned subscribers of the streaming giant when he made a shocking joke about Roma Gypsies and the Holocaust in last year’s special Jimmy Carr: His Dark Material.

Jimmy joked in his Netflix special last year that the “thousands of gypsies killed by the Nazis” were a “positive” effect of the Holocaust.

Channel 4 backed him after the prank when they announced he will present a new series of his game show I Literally Just Told You.

The broadcaster confirmed the star will host a further eight episodes of the series, which first aired last year, despite calls for it to be ‘cancelled’ in the wake of his controversial gaffe.
