Jimmy Buffett, 76, hospitalized in Boston for undisclosed medical problems: ‘Getting old is not for the faint of heart!’

Two-time Grammy nominee Jimmy Buffett revealed on Thursday that he was hospitalized “to address some issues that need immediate attention” after undergoing a routine checkup in Boston on Tuesday.

‘Growing old isn’t for the faint hearted, I promise you,’ says the 76-year-old billionaire – who has 2.1 million social media followers – tweeted of his unexpected health problems.

These few words from Mark Twain about life changes seemed perfect to pass along at this time. “Challenges,” he said. “Make life interesting, but overcoming it is what makes life meaningful.” I had a sudden change of plans this week that affected all of us.”

The Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band had to cancel their scheduled Second Wind Tour stop for this Saturday at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, SC.

“If I’m good enough to perform, that’s what I’m going to do in the land of She-Crab soup,” Buffett wrote in the statement on his website.

“You all give my life more meaning and fulfillment than I could have ever imagined as a little boy with toes on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, your amazing years of loyalty, and don’t forget, “NOT YET!” Love to everyone!’

So was the Margaritaville hitmaker — last photographed on April 18 briefly hospitalized in September, when he had to cancel his five remaining 2022 concerts: “On doctor’s orders, he must take this time to recover and heal.”

Jimmy – whose parents died in their 80s – has reportedly been hard at work recording his 30th studio album titled Equal Strain on All Parts.

On a personal level, Buffett has three children: daughter Savannah, nearly 44; daughter Delaney, 31; and adopted son Cameron – from his 45-year marriage to second wife Jane Slagsvol.

The Mississippi-born musician is also known as an avid pilot, prolific restaurateur, and generous Democratic donor.
