It comes after Jimmy opened up earlier this year about his close brush with death and serious fears that he wouldn’t wake up after heart surgery.

The artist has survived quite a few health issues over his years of life, along with his drug and alcohol addiction.

While others previously worried about him, he was as worried as his family after he was struck by a life-threatening infection that affected his heart.

At one point, while in St. Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney, a seriously ill Jimmy told his wife Jane, “I don’t think I’m going to make it.”

Hours before going to the hospital, an unwell Jimmy took the stage at a memorial concert for his late friend and promoter, Michael Gudinski.

The singer was recently rushed to the emergency room after complications from bacterial pneumonia.

Jimmy told his followers that he underwent open heart surgery after a bacterial infection spread to his heart.

After the procedure, the Scottish-born Australian took to Instagram to let his followers know that he is healthy, happy and likely to make a full recovery.
