Country music sensation Jimmie Allen dropped two bombs on Friday.
The 37-year-old music artist shared on social media that he and wife Alexis Gale are expecting their third child and are separating.
In a solemn note, written in white font against a black background, he said, “After much thought and consideration over the past few months, Lex and I have made the decision to separate.”
The crooner added, “As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will be welcoming another child together later this year.”
The pair, who married in May 2021, already share daughters Naomi Bettie, 3, and Zara James, 18 months.

Sadly: In a solemn note written in white font against a black background, he said, “After much thought and consideration over the past few months, Lex and I have made the decision to part ways.”
Allen already has an eight-year-old son named Aadyn from a previous relationship.
The hitmaker added: “Our number one priority is and always will be to ensure that our children are healthy, happy and loved.”
He also noted, “We remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for each other.
“In light of our growing family, we respectfully ask for privacy during this time.”
The comments on his post were disabled and Alexis shared the same post on her personal Instagram account.
She also posted a quote in her Stories that read, “We must be willing to let go of the life we’ve planned, to have the life that’s waiting for us.”
In March 2022, the musician spoke to Entertainment Tonight about parenting.
He told the publication, “Going from two to three is a big jump!
‘It’s cool. We love them and we’re just sure thankful for our kids. Sure, we feel outnumbered, yes. [And] we are.’
Jimmie, who is from Delaware, added, “We threw around the idea of maybe having another one in four years, we thought about it, we threw the idea around.” And then we closed the idea.’
The star and his soon-to-be ex-wife got engaged in 2019 and had to postpone their wedding due to the pandemic.

The duo had only been together for a few months when he proposed to her during a trip to Disney World in Florida.
Although they had hoped for a 2020 wedding, Jimmie revealed in July that they had to postpone the event.
Alexis and Jimmie grew up in the same town of Milton, Delaware, but didn’t meet until his cousin introduced them.
Jimmie told People early on in the relationship, “Now that Alexis is from my hometown, it’s like I always have a piece of home with me. We immediately clicked. It was as if we had known each other forever.’
