A self-proclaimed Jim Carey lookalike on the run from the police has taunted them online by asking for an award to turn himself in.

Devon Bentley, 19, is currently wanted by Staffordshire Police in connection with suspected burglary offences.

But as he continues to allude to cops, the teen has taken to social media to mock them, repeatedly responding to a local news site post about the wanted call.

The 19-year-old from Normacot, who is still at large, wrote on Stoke-on-Trent Live’s page: ‘Is there a reward for his whereabouts?

“I’m a B-Tech Jim Kerry brother,” he added in reference to comedian Jim Carey, before uselessly telling police, “I’m here sir.”

Bentley’s comedic ways and bold remarks clearly amused the locals with hundreds deciding to share their take on the situation.

When one reader wondered why the police don’t spend time chasing fugitive pedophiles and rapists, Devon replied, “Excuse me, I’m not one of them.”

On reader joked. Some people think they are above the law.

Another added, “He must be getting tired of living on the fringes of society.”

A third said, “Stoke-on-Trent’s son in the making hide-and-seek champion.”

Devon Bentley is being recalled to prison, and anyone who knows his whereabouts should call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
