Jill Duggar Dillard mourns the ‘heartbreaking’ loss of a friend… after she finished recording the audio version of her upcoming tell-all book
19 Kids and Counting alum Jill Duggar Dillard attended the funeral of a close friend – PassionForSavings.com founder Heather Schisler – last Friday at Cross Church in Springdale, AR.
“I can’t believe she’s gone,” the 32-year-old Arkansas resident — who has 2.5 million social media followers — wrote via Instastory.
“The service and the welcome was so nicely[in]honor of who Heather was and[it]totally had the all-in Heather blowout!”
Heather – whom Jill called “the sweetest” – tragically passed away, aged 39, on July 30 ‘after a hard fought battle’ with stage 4 metastatic cancer that has spread to her lungs and liver.
“We’ve known each other for years and were in the same small group at church for several years,” Dillard wrote after her death.

“We were pregnant together last year and had our babies just a few weeks apart. Please join us in praying for their entire family.”
Schisler is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jonathan Schisler, and their four children – Zachary, Hailey, Madden and Breelyn.
Last month, the Counting On alum finished recording the audio version of her second book, Counting the Cost, which she co-wrote with author Craig Borlase and her husband of nine years, Derick Dillard.
Jill’s 288-page tell-all — which hits shelves Sept. 12 — talks about how she found the courage to stop ignoring the red flags and secrets surrounding her famous family and details what really went on behind the scenes.
TLC canceled the reality show 19 Kids and Counting in 2015 after the Duggars’ oldest son, Josh known person to “touching inappropriately” five minors (including two of his sisters).
In 2015, Dillard confessed to The Kelly File that her parents—former Republican congressman Jim Bob Duggar and homemaker Michelle Duggar—told her she was one of two sisters Josh had abused as a teenager while she slept.
The homeschooled mother of three previously spoke of the 57-year-old patriarch’s close ties to the Christian fundamentalist group the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP) in the four-episode Amazon docuseries called Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets.
Among its many strict teachings, IBLP dictates that men are the heads of their households and women are generally not allowed to have power or be involved in much more than raising children and other household chores.

On June 1, Jim Bob and Michelle released an official statement denouncing the “disparaging and sensational” docuseries, saying that the creators had “bad intentions to hurt people we love.”
“We have always believed that the best chance to mend damaged relationships, or to reconcile differences, is through love in a private setting,” the married couple of 38 years wrote to the Duggar family. website.
“We love every member of our family and will continue to do everything we can to have a good relationship with everyone. Through both the triumphs and the trials, we have held on to our faith all the more and discovered that through the love and grace of Jesus we find strength, comfort, and purpose.”
