Jill Biden’s plea to Joe to end civilian deaths in Gaza are revealed by Muslim who challenged president’s pro-Israel stance at White House dinner

Jill Biden has personally urged the president to end the bloodshed in Gaza, a White House guest has revealed.

Salima Suswell, founder of the Black Muslim Leadership Council, shared how she heard Joe Biden tell other attendees about his wife’s wishes.

The exchange on Tuesday took place after another guest told the president that his wife disapproved of his presence because of Biden’s support for Israel’s airstrikes. New York Times reports.

Biden reportedly responded that he understood, stating that the First Lady urged him to “Stop it, stop it now,” according to Suswell.

The Muslim leader said she was so impressed by hearing Jill Biden’s position on the issue that she wrote down the president’s comments.

The White House appeared to confirm the exchange, saying Biden is as “outraged” by the civilian casualties as his wife.

More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes since the October 7 Hamas attack that killed 1,200 people.

Recently, the IDF killed seven aid workers, including US-Canadian citizen Jacob Flickinger, 33.

“Like the president, the first lady is deeply saddened by the attacks on aid workers and the continued loss of innocent lives in Gaza,” Elizabeth Alexander, the first lady’s communications director, said in a statement. “They both want Israel to do more to protect civilians.”

Her views echo those of other Democrats, including Senator Chris Coons, who has urged the president to do more to protect citizens and facilitate aid to the beleaguered country.

About 40 government agencies have also sent their own letters of objection to the president, while voters in swing states, including Michigan and Wisconsin, have threatened to withhold their support for his position.

But Jill Biden’s influence may be the greatest of all. She previously stated in an interview with the New York Times that the president appreciates her instincts.

‘I think he trusts my intuition as a husband, not as a policy officer or advisor,” she said.

Biden has historically opposed U.S. involvement in overseas conflicts, as her late son Beau was deployed to Iraq in 2008.

America has no boots on the ground in Israel, but is funding the country as part of Biden’s commitment to supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas.

This position is increasingly difficult to reconcile with Biden’s alleged “outrage” over the civilian deaths in Gaza.

Biden herself has come under scrutiny for her husband’s stance and numerous speeches have been interrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters accusing the Biden of supporting genocide.
