Jetstar’s website briefly crashed as Aussies desperately tried to snag a $29 flight as part of the airline’s latest travel sale.
The low-budget airline canceled its massive sale by discounting 29,000 flights for just $29 each.
The sale started at 9am (AEST) on Friday and includes 82 domestic flights on a budget.
The flash sale saw scores of holidaymakers flood Jetstar’s website, leaving many stuck on the loading page or receiving a message saying: ‘We’re very busy at the moment and something went wrong – we’re sorry’.

Customers struggled to secure flights for about an hour Friday morning, but were eventually able to get through to purchase their tickets.
It is clear that the website is now working normally.
The five-day offer includes airfares from Melbourne to the Whitsundays, along with Sydney to Hobart from just $29.
The $29 price tag is a reference to Jetstar’s introductory price of $29 per seat when it first launched in 2004.
Tickets for the lowest fares ‘will be limited’, but are also included Brisbane to Newcastle, Adelaide to Brisbane, Perth to the Gold Coastand Sydney to Ballina/Byron Bay.
Checked baggage is not included in the rates.
The sale ends when all tickets have been sold or redeemed Tuesday 11:59 pm.
