Jetstar is slammed after losing luggage that contained rare 30-year-old children’s toy

A mother who traveled on a Jetstar flight is furious after the airline lost her luggage containing a 30-year-old toy with enormous ‘sentimental value’ to her family.

Robyn and her partner traveled from Hobart to Melbourne with their two children, aged two and four, on December 31.

However, after their Christmas holiday with her family, things took a “sad turn” when her large blue suitcase never arrived on the baggage carousel.

Inside was a vintage Playmobil castle that belonged to her partner as a child and they both carried it around Germany and Italy.

The missing luggage also contained paintings and drawings that her mother gave her as a gift for her 45th birthday.

Many of the artworks were created by her mother, who was an artist for decades but was diagnosed with arthritis late last year.

“One was of her as a young woman, made by a well-known South African artist and it was quite valuable, but it was framed so I wasn’t allowed to take it,” Robyn said. Yahoo.

The mother of two said she regretted not putting an Airtag in her luggage so it could be tracked.

Robyn posted a photo of the missing suitcase on Reddit in the desperate hope of locating it or in case someone accidentally took it from the carousel.

“It would mean the world if you could look into dark and hidden corners and maybe help us have an emotional reunion with this suitcase,” she wrote.

Robyn said Jetstar confirmed that while the bag boarded the plane in Hobart, there has been no trace of it since.

Jetstar told Yahoo they wanted to thank Robyn for her patience while they searched for her luggage, with their records showing it had been placed on the baggage carousel in Melbourne.

“We have worked with Melbourne Airport to access security vision to assist in locating her bag and will provide (Robyn) with an update as soon as possible,” the airline said.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Jetstar for comment.
