New York Jets legend Joe Namath appeared to blame Sunday’s loss to the New England Patriots on general manager Joe Douglas and coach Robert Saleh.

“If the team isn’t playing better, you need to start looking at the coaches and general manager,” Namath posted on X during the Jets’ 15-10 loss to their archrivals.

The game allowed New England to extend its 15-game winning streak against the Jets.

In total, Namath fired off eight angry tweets during the game, as it became clearer than ever that he and the Jets fans weren’t the only ones frustrated by the poor performance on offense.

Cameras captured star wide receiver and reigning Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and running back Michael Carter appearing to loudly express their anger on the sidelines.

New York’s offense looked non-existent for most of the game, as they totaled just 171 yards on their way to putting up 10 points.

Quarterback Zach Wilson went 18-36 for 157 yards as he continued his tradition of epic struggles against New England.

“I’m starting to wonder if Zach is playing like he’s being coached. He makes choices that are counterintuitive for the quarterback position,” Namath said.

‘WRONG DIRECTION ZACH! Get UP in that bag!” read another tweet.

“Our pass patterns and receiver routes seem predictable,” said one of Namath’s other tweets.

After the game, Jets head coach Saleh said the team will keep Wilson as the starter despite another poor performance, claiming “right now he gives us the best chance to win.”

New York’s loan signing of the game came when fullback Nick Bawden capped a 13-play, 87-yard drive by the Jets with a 1-yard touchdown up the middle to make it 13-10 with 5:24 left .

Wilson was 7 for 10 on the drive and the Jets were helped by a pass interference penalty on Myles Bryant after a throw to Randall Cobb on third-and-goal from the 9 – putting the ball on the 1 and setting up Bawden’s TD.

After a defensive stop, the Jets faced third-and-10 from their own 10 and Wilson ran for a first down – but it was erased by a holding penalty from guard Joe Tippmann. Judon brought down Wilson on the next play to make it 15-10.

The Jets got the ball back with 1:43 left, but again were unable to convert. On fourth-and-10, Wilson threw a one-yard pass to Tyler Conklin that turned the ball over on downs, causing the remaining rain-soaked Jets fans at MetLife Stadium to cheer.

New York had one more chance with 16 seconds left. Wilson connected with Garrett Wilson for a 29-yard gain to put the ball at the Jets 46. Zach Wilson then threw up a Hail Mary that reached the end zone and bounced around a few times — before falling after tipping the hands of a diving Cobb.

The game turned into the second big fall of the game for Cobb.
