An insider told The sun: ‘It’s hard to make sense of it at the moment because they seemed so in love.’

MailOnline has reached out to representatives for Jesy Nelson for comment at the time.

Their apparent breakup comes after the couple recently returned from a romantic trip to the US, which included a break in the Hamptons.

Jesy had previously announced that she was taking a break from working on her solo album to travel the world.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘I’ve wanted to travel for a long time, but never had the time.

‘I’ve got some really exciting things lined up regarding my work and my music, but until then I’m taking the summer off to travel the world.

“I’m going off my social media for a while. I love you so much and I’ll see you when I get back.’

She and Zion were first pictured together in January, after it was reported in 2022 that they had grown close.

Jesy previously cut ties with her boyfriend Harry James, who was the one who created the controversial music video for Boyz “the brain,” which accused the star of “blackfishing.”

Harry started dating Jesy in 2017 and the pair were together for 16 months before making time for their relationship, but have worked together numerous times since then.

Prior to that, Jesy dated Diversity’s Jordan Banjo from 2012 to 2014, before enjoying a romance with Rixton’s Jake Roche from 2014 to 2016.

Earlier this year, Jesy shared her enthusiasm to jump-start her solo career, telling The Sun: ‘I feel like this has always been a side of me, but no one heard. It’s just the beginning of my solo journey.

“Honestly, I just wanted people to actually hear me sing. I think it’s a softer, more vulnerable side of me. I wanted my music to really connect — and I wasn’t deterred by opening up.

“You literally just have to expose yourself to whoever you’re writing with in the room, because they need to understand and be able to know who you are and what you’ve been through in order to write these songs.”
