Jesy Nelson puts on a leggy display in a retro 70s mini skirt as she shoots music video

Jesy Nelson rocked a retro ’70s look while filming scenes for her latest music video on Saturday.

The singer, 31, looked amazing in the funky ensemble while filming at a working men’s club in south London.

She put on a leggy display in an orange printed mini skirt, teamed with a matching knit crop top.

Jesy styled the look with a pair of chunky orange heels and white knee-high socks, as she wrapped up in a beige trench coat as she stepped out of a minibus.

Her brunette locks were styled in a voluminous updo with a white headband and she opted for a tan makeup palette.

Bold: Jesy Nelson rocked a retro ’70s look while filming scenes for her latest music video on Saturday.

It comes after it was reported that Jesy will shoot a music video for her new single Bad Things, despite being between record labels.

Supposedly, the singer will film the project in a nostalgic location in London, and will be inspired by her father John’s in and out of prison.

A source told The Sun: “Jesy loves to get creative in her music videos and is throwing herself into channeling her mother and playing someone who falls for a boy who ends up in prison.”

“It’s a really meaningful song to her and the lyrics are personal.”

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Jesy for comment.

Jesy previously blamed her love of bad boys on her father, telling The Sun: “Growing up my father wasn’t around.”

“My dad wasn’t the best, he was in and out of prison, so I haven’t had a lot of good role models in my life, so maybe that’s where it comes from.”

“When I see someone who looks a little naughty, I’m instantly attracted to them, and it’s not good. If someone has a gold tooth, I literally fall in love.’

In 1985, John was found guilty of murder and brawl, according to the Daily Star, after a street fight left amateur boxer Paul Reidy dead.

The roofer had been stabbed three times outside Lautrec’s nightclub in Dagenham and John was jailed for life, but his conviction was overturned shortly after on appeal. Instead, he served a shorter sentence for brawling.

And in 2016, John was arrested after a man was killed in a hit-and-run accident, but was released on bail.

He was detained after his Range Rover was involved in the fatal collision with a motorcycle in Gidea Park, Essex, on Friday, The Sun reported.

So, the 51-year-old garden center owner, who is estranged from his pop star daughter, denied being behind the wheel at the time.

Motorcyclist Craig Voyce, 23, a father of three, was thrown from his vehicle and fatally injured. He later he died in the hospital.

The blue car failed to stop after the crash outside a pub at 11pm, according to police. But the Range Rover was found in a nearby parking lot.

Nelson was later arrested near the scene. Two other men were claimed to be with him in the car at the time of the accident and he denied being behind the wheel.

It follows claims that Jesy is about to sign a major new deal with Warner Records ahead of releasing her second solo single Cried Out this year.

The former Little Mix star is said to be in advanced talks with the label after parting ways with Polydor in July last year due to “creative differences”.

Jesy will be releasing the new music independently, but the labels will be closely monitoring her and fans’ reactions to the song before offering a deal.

A source told The Sun: “It’s been a tumultuous few months for Jesy but she’s working hard to come back strong.” She has had meetings with record labels, including Warner, about the possibility of signing a new contract.

Jesy will be releasing Cried Out as an independent artist and labels will be closely monitoring the reaction to the song. After being so unhappy, Jesy really enjoys being independent.

“But he’s made it clear that if someone offers him the right deal, he’ll take it. She’s been in talks with Warner for some time, but it all depends on whether they can reach a deal that works for both of them.

The source went on to admit that the singer’s close friends think her future would be bright with Warner Records, however “nothing is set in stone.”

Jesy has spent weeks teasing her next album, but no release date has been announced yet.

It comes after she wowed her fans when she shared a video of herself singing ahead of the release of her upcoming single.

The star gave an incredible rendition of Daniel Caesar’s Best Party and said it’s “been a while” since she posted a cover.

Several of Jesy’s followers praised her powerful voice and fellow singer Anastacia wrote: “Smooth sounds.”

Another fan wrote, “Your voice is the definition of pure magic,” while another added, “I’ve missed hearing these voices.”

The video came after Jesy reportedly filmed a new music video with ex-boyfriend Harry James for their yet-to-be-released music.

It was recently suggested that Jesy would release her first single since the debut track Boyz in 2021, after leaving her Polydor record label earlier this year.

And her on-and-off boyfriend Harry, who was the one to ‘arrange’ the controversial Boyz music video, appears to be back for the second song.

Harry began dating Jesy in 2017 and the couple were together for 16 months before calling it quits, but have worked together numerous times since.

Despite reports that the couple cut ties last year, it is believed that he has once again enlisted to work on the new video.

According to The Sun, Jesy shot the video with Harry directing and her new song is called Cried Out.
