Jesy Nelson makes blunder as she says Kent is in Essex… despite living in the latter!

Jesy Nelson made a geographic error this weekend when she claimed Kent was in Essex, despite being from the county herself.

The Boyz singer, 31, filmed a conversation she was having with her new boyfriend Zion Foster, who asked which cities classify as Essex while probing the star about his hometown.

She then claimed that he was from the county because he lived in Kent, wrongly comparing it to Chelmsford as he said both were within Essex.

Jesy and Zion joked around as he asked questions about the county and imitated an Essex accent.

Telling his girlfriend that he ‘has a question’, the RnB singer said: ‘Where exactly does Essex rank?’

The former Little Mix star replied: ‘Where you live. Honey, you live in Kent, that’s Essex. So technically you’re an Essex boy.

Jesy claimed that Kent was in Essex, even though they were about 50 minutes apart, and in different counties.

The singer was born in Romford and now lives in a luxurious Essex home while spending a great deal of time in Los Angeles.

Her mistake comes after she reportedly started filming a music video with ex-boyfriend Harry James for her yet-to-be-released new single.

It was recently suggested that Jesy would release her first single since the debut track Boyz in 2021, after leaving her Polydor record label earlier this year.

And her previous on-and-off boyfriend Harry, who was the one who ‘arranged’ the controversial Boyz music video, appears to be back for the second song.

Harry began dating Jesy in 2017 and the couple were together for 16 months before calling it quits, but have worked together numerous times since.
