Jessica Simpson channels Barbie in pink minidress as she launches PetSafe Unleashed program with her pooch Penny in Los Angeles

Jessica Simpson launched the PetSafe Unleashed program with her adorable dog in Los Angeles on Friday.

To celebrate International Dog Day ahead of the actual holiday, the 43-year-old singer put on a glamorous show in a pink Barbie minidress and posed for sweet snaps with her beloved dog Penny.

She also styled her platinum blonde locks into an effortlessly stylish half up, half down hairdo.

The Dukes of Hazzard actress – who was spotted running errands with her daughter Maxwell, 11, earlier this week – completed her look with a pair of metallic bronze platform heels.

For an extra touch of glamour, she layered silver and diamond-encrusted chokers and necklaces.

Finally, the Blonde Ambition alum completed her look with a glossy pink lip.

According to Additionalshe also brought her oldest child, Maxwell, to the PetSafe Fun in the Sun event in Los Angeles.

Simpson is also mother to 10-year-old son Ace and four-year-old daughter Birdie.

Speaking to the publication, she shared, “Maxwell is a dog person, so we wanted to bring Penny here to see if she would socialize.”

The Sweet Kisses hitmaker continued to talk about how their family of dog lovers grew to eight dogs.

“When Max was younger she asked Santa for a dog and that’s been happening every year for eight years, so Santa brings a dog every year,” she explained.

When asked how chaotic it is to be the founder of such a large family, she truthfully replied that she would not change it for anything.

“I don’t even know what life would be like without chaos,” she replied. ‘I think I would be very bored.

“I sometimes complain that too much is happening, but I wouldn’t want it any other way,” she continued.

Simpson also revealed that she’s currently working on new music and teased that her forthcoming album “will have some of my southern roots back while I’m in the recording studio.”

“It gives me chills just thinking about it,” she said of what it feels like to be back in the studio. “Because I know that when I open this big old trap of mine, a lot is going to come out and it’s going to be very powerful.

“I finally feel connected enough to my purpose in music, and I know exactly what I want to do,” she added. ‘It’s very exciting.’

She also explained that she took such a long break to raise her primary school age children and to be with her family instead of touring.

“I really wanted my kids to be raised as normally as possible for the first 10 years,” she said. “I didn’t want to be on the road all the time. I didn’t want to be gone all the time, and I feel like I gave them that.”
