On Tuesday, the actress shared a sweet message for her partner of nine years to celebrate his 44th birthday.

“Eric turned 44 on September 15th and his family has given him every cell of love we have to celebrate his life,” the fashion designer wrote.

“My heart is so taken by this man that I could hardly call him my own…. We love youuuuu.

“(He’s not an Instagram guy, but I always think the more well-wishes the better),” she finished her note.

There were also several images with the family shared for her 6.3 million followers.

She had her arms around her youngest daughter, Birdie, as well as her husband Eric as they posed outside.

In another, they were with Ace and Maxell.

It comes after Jessica said she was “too nervous” to return to work until her children were settled in school and “in life”.

The singer and actress put her career on hold to focus on raising her three children. She shares the children with Eric Johnson, her Yale graduate husband, whom she married in 2014.

She has now revealed that she doesn’t want to return to the spotlight too soon.

“I was too nervous to return to my career until I felt my children were confident enough in school and in life. I wanted to be a mother first,” she said People.

It comes after she spoke to Extra about her plans to get back into music, insisting she didn’t want her children to be raised on the road.

She explained: “I really wanted my children to be raised as normally as possible during their first 10 years.

“I didn’t want to be on the road all the time, I didn’t want to be gone all the time, and I feel like I gave them that.”

She added of her musical comeback: “It gives me chills to think about it.

“I know that every time I open my old trap, a lot of stuff is going to come out and it’s going to be really powerful.”

Jessica also teased that her new work would bring back “some of my southern roots while I’m in the recording studio.”
