Jessica Pegula made light work of Barbora Krejcikova to seal a straight-set victory and book her place in the Australian Open quarterfinals on Sunday morning.
The No.3 seed, who is the daughter of the owners of the Buffalo Bills, is now the highest-ranked player remaining in the women’s singles as she searches for her first Grand Slam title.
Pegula won the match 7-5, 6-2 to set up a match with either Victoria Azarenka or Shuai Zhang in the last eight.
