A child sex offender calling himself ‘Leader of The Pack’ has been accused of running a child abuse ring from a New South Wales prison.
Jessica Isabelle Rose, formerly known as Dean Angus Bell, was arrested Tuesday at Junee Correctional Centre following a four-month investigation into the production and distribution of child abuse material by inmates.
The 31-year-old was charged with eight counts of producing child abuse material, eight counts of distributing child abuse material and knowingly or recklessly directing a criminal group.
Investigators discovered a group called “The Pack” who allegedly shared letters detailing their experiences of child abuse and plans to commit more crimes after their release.
Police allege that one of the letters mentions murder.
New South Wales Police allege Ms Rose directed the group from her cell and wrote letters describing the child abuse before sending them to other inmates.

More arrests are expected as police continue to investigate the scale of the pedophile organization.
Ms Rose is in the middle of a prison sentence for using a transport service to access child pornography material and for breaching a long-term supervision order.
She changed her gender while in prison and was locked up in an all-male prison.
She appeared in Wagga Wagga District Court on Tuesday.
No request for bail was made, but it was formally denied.
Her case will return to court in October.
