Jessica Chastain has revealed that she deviated from the Covid catch at the Golden Globes by wearing a mask before her arrival on the red carpet.

The 45-year-old actress responded to a fan who shared her relief that she had not contracted the virus after several stars revealed they had tested positive after the January 10 ceremony.

Among those affected by Covid were stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Jamie Lee Curtis, all of whom were forced to miss Sunday’s Critics Choice Awards due to their positive status.

In a video posted to Instagram, Jessica revealed that she had donned a matching shiny silver mask with her dress as she left her hotel and headed to the red carpet.

The star then responded to a Twitter user who shared a snapshot of his masked appearance, writing: “And you know who didn’t get COVID at the Golden Globes?”

Reposting the image, Jessica added: ‘Whew!’

It was revealed on Sunday that several stars had tested positive for covid after the Golden Globes, and The Banshees of Inisherin stars Colin and Brendan were forced to miss the Critics Choice Awards.

Just days earlier, Jamie Lee Curtis, 64, a Best Supporting Actress nominee for Everything Everywhere All at Once, revealed she would be skipping the ceremony after contracting the virus.

Colin, Brendan and Jamie Lee were on hand at Tuesday’s Golden Globe Awards, where Colin took home the award for Best Actor – Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy. for his acclaimed role in The Banshees of Inisherin.
