Jesse Marsch is reportedly an option to replace Ange Postecoglou as Celtic manager.

The American has been out of work since he was sacked by Premier League club Leeds in February.

But the 49-year-old is in the running for the Celtic hotseat, according to the UK outlet Sky Sports.

The report claims Marsch and former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers are the candidates.

Mail Sport reported that current Celtic boss Postecoglou is about to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur on a two-year contract.

Marsch has been linked with a return to management as Southampton and Leicester needed new bosses and USMNT’s role as permanent head coach was still up for grabs.

The American was sacked by Leeds after less than a year at the helm.

He took over at the end of February 2022 and picked up 15 points in 11 games to seal Premier League football for the following season.

In the 2022-23 campaign, Marsch managed just four wins, covering the Leeds hierarchy.

He was replaced by Javi Gracia, who was in turn replaced by Sam Allardyce, but Leeds were still relegated.
