Jess Wright suffered an awkward accident after her handbag broke at the 2024 Beauty Awards in London on Monday night.

The TOWIE star, 39, looked stunning in a quirky red mini dress and matching tights, but her stylish arrival was overshadowed by the gaffe.

Jess’ metal heart-shaped bag fell from the strap and hit the ground, as its contents, including her make-up, fell out and were scattered across the street.

Nevertheless, Jess still managed to look on the bright side and showed a big smile as she walked the red carpet.

Jess added extra height to her frame with perfectly matching heels and styled her long glossy brunette locks in loose waves.

Last month, Jess revealed why she will never call her son Presley ‘naughty’ to his face or get angry.

She confessed that she is constantly learning how to be a better parent, but admitted that her “lively” two-and-a-half-year-old boy could push her buttons.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Jess discussed gentle parenting and how her life has changed since her son was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart disease called ‘Bicuspid Aortic Valve’.

The former reality star shares her son with her businessman husband of three years William Lee-Kemp and revealed his health condition with her Instagram followers in August.

Despite his condition, the brunette beauty described her son as full of energy, but was candid about the difficulties of raising a toddler.

About her gentle parenting approach, she said, “Telling today is very different from today.” she said.

‘We’re not allowed to say the word naughty. It’s all about saying friendly hands and all these different phrases that you have to learn.

‘He is an extremely lively boy, he is not calm. He is very determined and has a lot of energy.

‘It does take a lot out of you and I have had some help from my family and my husband is very practical.

‘He’s a character. He never stops laughing and dancing and singing and he wants to be involved in everything.”

The star added that she is constantly learning about the best way to raise her son now that he has ended up in the “terrible twos.”

She explained: “There are different stages where they hit two, like the tantrums, the neediness, the whining, so you get all those things along with the good stuff.

‘You also learn and see how to deal with this.’

They explained that she and William learn and collaborate on the job.

She said: ‘It’s a big change and we’re learning and teaching each other, but he’s a great little boy and he’s going to make his mark on this world, I have a feeling.’

But despite Jess gushing over her only child, she admitted she struggled to stop herself from shouting at the toddler.

“They push your buttons every day and you have to avoid getting angry and yelling,” she admitted.

“And they’re so precious and small that you don’t want to scream, but sometimes you lose your patience — they push your buttons.”

Mark’s sister added that having Presley has taken a toll on her marriage and the couple are now bickering but are working on building quality time together.

She said, “We end up snapping at each other because you’re both stressed and this little person is running circles around you.

‘It’s important to have time alone because otherwise you’re just being mom and dad and having the occasional date night, which we haven’t done much until last week

“It was just a very different dynamic and we talked to each other differently and it was natural because we didn’t have the stress of the baby, the naps and the feeding.

What is a bicuspid aortic valve?

A bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) is a heart defect that typically occurs when two of the three valves of the aortic valve fuse during fetal development. The aortic valve controls blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta, which is the main artery that supplies blood to the body.

It is the most common congenital heart defect, affecting an average of 1.3% of adults and 1% of the general population. It is more common in girls than in boys.

In the long term it can be a cause of heart failure, but BAV symptoms may not become apparent until adulthood, usually middle age. Symptoms include: shortness of breath on exertion, chest pain, dizziness, fainting, fast and irregular heartbeat, and pale skin.*
