Former soccer player Jermaine, 40, wore a three-piece suit in shades of green for the night.

He was wearing a pink tie to match the handkerchief that he kept in his jacket pocket.

The athlete wore a white shirt and completed his look with black shoes.

He and Jess sheltered from the rain under a large umbrella as they stood arm in arm on the red carpet.

Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, is based on the hit board game of the same name and will be released on March 31.

It comes after Jermaine filed for bankruptcy after racking up debts of more than £1 million, according to reports.

The Birmingham County Court has reportedly issued a one-year bankruptcy order to the former Premier League star, who owes money to creditors including HMRC, councils, banks and utility companies.

The 39-year-old Jermaine Pennant Ltd’s media company, which was set up after his TV appearances on shows like Celebrity Big Brother, dissolved in 2020.

The former midfielder was understood to have defaulted on his mortgage payments.

A source close to Pennant said Sun: ‘He owes stacks of cash all over the place.

His debts run into seven figures.

Its debts with the treasury and the banks are enormous.

“You’ve defaulted on your mortgage payments and your property will likely be repossessed.”

Sportsmail revealed in October that Jermaine’s abandoned Tudor-style home in Cheshire had been turned into a cannabis farm, leading to the arrest of a 35-year-old man.

He bought the property in 2006, but it has been vacant since 2020 following his split from then-partner Alice Goodwin.

The £3 million home, near Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport, was subsequently torn apart by flames on two separate occasions between October and November, after being taken over by drug gangs.

Meanwhile, Jess recently opened up about how her relationship with boyfriend Jermaine has been strengthened by their shared trauma.

She recounted how Jermaine’s difficult past coupled with her own tough childhood has brought them closer.

speaking to Sun, she said: ‘When two people have been through something traumatic, it can be toxic or healing. Luckily, we have been what heals each other.

In 2005, Jermaine was jailed for three months for drink driving while disqualified after crashing his friend’s Mercedes into a utility pole.

After 30 days in prison, he was released and his club Birmingham City supported him. He became the first player to play in the Premier League with an electronic ankle tag.

He also admitted that he squandered his fortune on dubious investments, lost three houses and declared bankruptcy due to his money problems and forgot he owned a £1.2m house in Cheshire.

Jess opened up about her own past, saying: “A lot of nasty things happened to me in my childhood and I really struggled with my mental health.”

“I think that’s why Jermaine and I work so well, because he also had a very traumatic childhood and we can support each other. We understand why others act in a certain way.
