Jestinta Franklin has rallied behind a friend whose home was completely destroyed during the devastating fires in LA.
On Thursday, the AFL WAG revealed on Instagram that she was “heartbroken” at the news that her friend Sasha Strabe’s home had been razed in the horrific fire in Eaton, north of Pasadena.
The former Miss Universe Australia, 33, shared a heartbreaking photo showing the remains of her friend’s home, which was completely destroyed by the fire.
“Heartbreaking for the beautiful @sacha_strabe and her family, a dear friend from long ago,” Jesinta wrote with the sobering image.
Speaking further, Jesinta revealed that the house had been a labor of love for the family who had renovated the property in recent years.
“Looking at your journey with this house, the love you put into the renovations you were slowly doing little by little. The joy I saw it brought you,” she wrote.

“To hear that it is now gone, I am heartbroken for all of you.”
Jesinta continued to reveal that she planned to help her friend in any way she could, sharing a link to a GoFundMe page set up for his devastated family.
“If you know Sasha, you know she is kind, caring and generous,” Jesinta said.
‘It’s hard to know what to do or how I can help in these times, but donating to this little family makes me feel like I can at least play a very small part in helping in such a terrible situation for so many’
At the time of publication, the GoFundMe had raised over $86,000 (USD) for the family.
Jesinta also shared a short clip taken by a friend who lives in LA. The terrifying clip, taken from his rooftop, showed the LA skyline engulfed in flames.
“Our friend sent this to us from his roof in LA,” she captioned the clip.
‘Frightening scenes. Absolutely devastating.”

Jesinta recently revealed she and husband Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin are planning to relist their lavish Gold Coast mansion after it failed to sell at auction.
The power couple took the sprawling seven-bedroom Mediterranean-style home off the market in September after it sold at auction for $11 million.
With the auction price not meeting their reserve, 33-year-old Jesinta told Daily Mail Australia in November that they plan to put their luxury property back on the market in the new year.
She said they will be looking for buyers who want to purchase their family home for more than $11 million.
“We will be listing it again in the new year, it came in at auction,” the model explained.
“It came in at $11 million, so if there’s anyone out there who has more than $11 million and wants a beautiful home on the Gold Coast, you know who to call!”
The couple are selling it to try farming life with their children: daughter Tullulah, three, and son Rocky, two.
“We look at so many properties, we spend our weekends in the countryside driving and looking for land,” she said.
“We haven’t found the perfect spot yet, but I have a feeling we’re getting close.
“It’s really important to get the right piece of land for what we want to do and it’s really exciting.”
Jesinta also shared how her family life has changed since Buddy retired from the AFL in July 2023 after a calf injury.
‘It’s been so good [having Bud at home]she said.
‘It’s just been great, it’s really flowing now and we can really support each other with our work commitments and stuff, so it’s been fantastic, he’s such a good dad.’
She said they have been able to make more time to take their children on fun outings and activities, sharing how important it is for them to enjoy this time together.
‘I just love being a mother. “I really took a step back from work this year to spend time with the kids because Bud took a year off, obviously his first year of retirement, and Lulu is going to school next year,” she shared.
‘It is a privilege that we can spend this time with the children.
“It’s a lot of caravanning, camping, beach time, time at the creeks and waterfalls and just really enjoying this time with them before school starts!”
