Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino dupes fans with April Fool’s proposal prank – as Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola celebrates REAL engagement

Jersey Shore alum Vinny Guadagnino tricked his Instagram followers with a proposal prank on April Fool’s Day.

Guadagnino, 36, shared a photo of himself asking for a woman’s hand in marriage, alongside a lavishly romantic display.

‘She said yes!!!!!!’ Vinny captioned the photo and it quickly received countless likes.

But Vinny eventually admitted that the whole proposal was just a joke: ‘Damn 300,000 euros for the April Fool’s joke. You guys really want me to get married,” he said as he reposted the image to his Instagram Stories.

In contrast, another Jersey Shore store announced her real-life engagement on the same day: Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola.

The 37-year-old reality star announced the news via Instagram on Monday and emphasized that it is not an April Fool’s joke.

Vinny appeared to have used Sammi’s engagement for his own post, as she shared a photo of herself showing off her diamond ring in front of the same ‘Marry Me’ display her former co-star posted.

Sharing several photos from the engagement, Giancola revealed that her boyfriend Justin May, 35, popped the question on March 16 and she said yes.

“Life update: Fiance 3.16.24,” she began the post, which she shared with her 3.8 million Instagram followers on Monday evening.

‘The easiest question I’ve ever answered: the happiest and happiest girl in the world. I will love you forever and more,” she added.

“I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you,” she concluded, before clarifying, “Not an April Fool’s joke.”

Giancola also tagged Cozzi Jewelers, where May purchased the stone, in her Instagram post.

May also shared the same photos in his post, adding in the caption, “She said yes! I can’t wait to marry my best friend!’

‘Love you so much baby! �� can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!’ he concluded.

Giancola commented on the post, “I love you forever,” with two black heart emojis.

Most of her Jersey Shore co-stars were full of praise in the comments, although Vinny didn’t appear to have said anything.

Paul ‘DJ Pauly D’ Michael DelVecchio Jr. said, “Ayeeee congratulations,” with a champagne bottle emoji, a champagne glasses emoji and a two hands raised emoji.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley added “Congratulations” and three clapping emojis to her response.

Angelina Pivarnick added, “congrats mom to you and @j_may36” with the #wedding hashtag.

The official Jersey Shore Instagram commented, “OMG,” while Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino added, “Congratulations!! Love love.’

Deena Cortese added, “Yay!!! Congratulations’ with a red heart emoji, champagne bottle emoji and a red balloon emoji.

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania also added, “Omgggg yay yay congratulations.”

Nicol Concilio added: ‘Congratulations Sammi �������� you deserve all the happiness!’
