The happy couple revealed they were building their family and announced the due date of their second baby on July 31 in an Instagram post.

They currently share son Romeo, one year old, together.

The Situation and his wife welcomed their firstborn, soon to be a big brother, in May 2021.

The Dancing with the Stars alum met his wife Lauren in college. The college sweethearts broke up during Sorrentino’s entire run on Jersey Shore.

The couple were later revived in 2013 and have stayed together ever since.

The lovebirds were married on November 1, 2018 in New Jersey — a month after Sorrentino was sentenced to eight months in prison for tax evasion.

Shortly after they got married, the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star revealed that the newlyweds were more concerned with starting a family than with his then-imminent jail term.

‘We don’t necessarily have a plan for’ [when I go away]. I don’t know if you can really plan something like that,” he told us later in November. ‘But it’s going to be a blip’ [on] the radar and, you know, we’re happy to start a family now.’

The reality star reported to the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York State in January 2019. He was released in September 2019.

During that time he spent behind bars, his fellow Jersey Shore colleague Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, while playing a game, told Us Weekly that the Sorrentinos were “most likely” to have a baby, even with The Situation in prison.

DelVecchio further speculated, “He says, “Lauren, catch.” They smuggled his sperm out and gave it to Lauren.’

Two months later, the Sorrentinos candidly revealed that they had become pregnant the night he was released from prison, but miscarried nearly seven weeks later.

A year later, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child in November 2020. Then came their first son Romeo.

Sorrentino said in an interview with Us Weekly that they would like to have about three children.

After Romeo’s birth, he said his wife was eager to immediately take over another child. ‘It is so funny. She said, “Honey, right after this first one, we’re going to take another one. I was like, ‘Honey, let’s calm down. Step-by-step.”‘
