Jerry O’Connell decided to celebrate the last year of his 40s in an unusual way: he learned to strip.
The Talk host marked his 49th birthday on air by performing an exotic dance with some dancers from Magic Mike Live before giving his wife Rebecca Romjin, 50, a lap dance on television.
In the birthday episode which was titled Take It Off on The Talk, the Billions actor started out on stage in a red T-shirt and jeans.
He did a good job of moving and dancing with the pros throughout the routine to a Ginuwine’s Pony remix.
The heat really turned up when he and the other dancers took off their shirts.
Birthday Celebration: The Talk host Jerry O’Connell celebrated his 49th birthday by performing a lap dance with some Magic Mike Live dancers on stage for his wife Rebecca Romjin.
Jerry showed off his toned abs as chairs were carried up on stage and he escorted his wife of 15 years into the spotlight, where he later performed a sensual lap dance for her.
Co-host Sherri Shepherd and guest host Lisa Rinna also received up-close and personal turns from other dancers, but the camera remained focused primarily on Rebecca and Jerry.
At one point, the Endangered Species actor appeared to kiss and lick Rebecca’s neck as she giggled and smiled.
The pièce de résistance was lifting her out of the chair and carrying his wife off the stage.
The performance didn’t come as a complete surprise to the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds star, who after the commercial break, joined her husband and the other hosts of The Talk on stage.
‘First of all, thanks for keeping your pants on,’ he joked before admitting, ‘Jerry, your mom and dad are here! I’m so embarrassed!’
After receiving praise from his co-hosts, Jerry said that part of his preparation was “really looking at what I’ve been eating.”
Rebecca quickly interrupted and explained what that meant.
Take It Off: In the birthday episode, which was titled Take It Off on The Talk, the Billions actor started out on stage in a red T-shirt and jeans.
Moves: Jerry did a great job moving and dancing with the pros throughout the routine to a Ginuwine’s Pony remix.
‘In our household, something is called a crop top diet. I mean, cut whatever it takes to make yourself semi-presentable in a crop top. So whatever you normally do, for me it might be like red wine, I’ll give it up for a few weeks.
‘So Jerry… orders literally every dessert on the menu. He’ll literally say, “I’ll have one of each.” To his crop top diet, he literally said, “I’m just going to order dessert.” I watched him eat four sundaes at four different meals. He ate butter cake last night. I was like, “are you getting ready for your Magic Mike Live?”
Rebecca then revealed behind-the-scenes information about Jerry’s rehearsal process.
Heat: The heat really turned up when Jerry and the other dancers took off their shirts.
Personal Service: Jerry showed off his toned abs during the sultry dance routine. Chairs were brought up on stage and he escorted her wife of 15 years to the spotlight, where he then performed a sensual lap dance for her.
“Jerry really wanted to rehearse with me, because he was learning the dance and I wanted it to be a surprise, so I kept saying no,” he explained. ‘So there were a lot of humps in the walls of our house. Like no wall is safe. Neither door was secure.
The Play Dead star then revealed that he surreptitiously recorded a video of her practicing with the car, in her underwear and against a wall, which he shared with the audience.
Jerry admitted that the unusual activities had had some repercussions.
‘Let me tell you, my wife was obviously a little scared. I didn’t know you were going to send that to the producers here at The Talk,” she said.
My children were scared. The ones that really freaked out were our dogs. Our dogs were like, “What?!”
