Jeremy Renner’s Hollywood acting career ‘no longer a priority to him’ after snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner’s Hollywood career has come into serious question today, as a source close to the star revealed that acting is no longer a “priority” for him after his horrific accident with a snowplow.

An insider who recently spent time with Jeremy, 52, tells DailyMail.com exclusively that “although he still loves acting, Hollywood is no longer a priority for him.”

According to the source, Jeremy’s focuses have shifted away from his on-screen career in the wake of his terrifying New Year’s Day accident at his Lake Tahoe home, where he was crushed by a 14,000-pound snowplow, breaking more than 30 bones.

“Jeremy believes he survived the crash so he can use his platform to really create change in the world,” the source shared.

“He’s very proud of the work he’s done, but this whole situation has really shown him that there’s so much more he could be doing to help others,” the source says.

Jeremy has since left the Lake Tahoe home where the accident occurred and returned to his Los Angeles estate, where he is focusing on his recovery, having been unable to walk as a result of the injuries he sustained during the incident.

The source continued that Jeremy’s mother, Valerie, 69, who accompanied him to the 2010 Oscars, has been a “tremendous” source of support for the star, revealing that she has been “by his side as much as he has been.” possible’.

On New Year’s Day, Jeremy was struck by a seven-ton snowplow while helping his nephew remove his care from the driveway at his residence near Reno, Nevada after the vehicle got stuck in the snow.

However, his snowplow began to slide down a street after the car was towed, causing the actor to jump out of the cab.

After getting out of the vehicle, Renner realized that he could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident. The Kingstown Mayor Star then attempted to re-enter the snowplow to divert its path, but was swept under the left-hand side track and struck during the attempt.

“He’s really just focused on his recovery and he’s doing rehab to learn how to walk again.” Jeremy knows that he is very lucky to be alive,” a friend of the star tells DailyMail.com

The Hawkeye actor has been giving updates on his condition online, posting a photo from his rehabilitation on January 21, three weeks after the accident.

Marvel recently took to his Instagram to share that much of the snow that was blocking the front entrance to his house had melted.

On a 911 call made by a neighbor, Jeremy could be heard in agony in the background. The person he called feared that he would bleed to death from his injuries.

He was airlifted to a hospital in Reno, where he was listed in critical condition with 30 broken bones, a crushed chest and a collapsed torso.

Although Jeremy is taking a step back in Hollywood in the wake of the accident, fans will still be able to see him on screen when he premieres a four-part documentary series, Rennervations, on Disney+ in April.

Renervations – which the star completed before the snowplow incident – details Jeremy’s’lifelong passion to give back to communities around the world by reinventing unique vehicles purpose-built to meet the needs of a community’.

In the trailer, the hero of the Marvel movie jokes that Avengers fans thought he was “off the rails” because this project is so different from his previous work.

“I’m buying these decommissioned government vehicles to help reinvent them to serve this community again in a different way,” Jeremy says in the trailer about the project.

“I decided to reimagine, reuse and renew these vehicles and wanted to for communities and helping children all over the world.’

Although he can’t promote Rennervations the way he wants right now, it seems like Jeremy is keeping a positive outlook on his involvement in the future.

Although Jeremy is taking a step back in Hollywood, fans will still be able to see him on screen when he debuts a four-part documentary series, Rennervations.

Jeremy has continued to update social media followers on his recovery and progress, sharing a video of himself strengthening his legs on a bike last month.

Additionally, Jeremy went all out to promote the second season of his Paramount Plus series Mayor of Kingstown, which premiered on January 15.

Jeremy has continued to update social media followers on his recovery and progress, which began when he took a selfie in the days following the accident from his ICU hospital bed.

‘Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too messy right now to write. But I am sending love to all of you,” she wrote in the caption next to a photo of Jeremy with bruises all over his face.

He later shared a clip of himself being pampered by his supportive sister and mother as he received a relaxing scalp massage.

‘A ‘not very good’ ICU day turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you so much,” she wrote in the caption of the sweet tweet.

Later that month, Jeremy shared footage with his fans of what appeared to be him being wheeled into a room for a CT scan and MRI.

In February, the star said he was doing “whatever it takes” in his recovery, while sharing a video trying to improve his leg strength with the help of a Technogym bike.

She added that she is also prioritizing her “mental recovery” as she curled up by the fire and opened The Book of Awakening, a “spiritual book” written by philosopher, poet and cancer survivor Mark Nepo.
