Jeremy Renner visits the ‘amazing’ hospital staff who ‘saved my life’ after snow plow accident

Jeremy Renner paid a visit to the medical staff who “saved his life” after being crushed by a 14,000-pound snowplow on New Year’s Day.

On Saturday, the actor, 52, spent time at Well-known regional medical center in Reno, Nevada, near his lavish Lake Tahoe abode, and shared photos on Instagram.

“I need to revisit the amazing group of people who saved my life,” he captioned the post on his Instagram story.

Renner – who suffered more than 30 broken bones in the accident – was seen using a cane while posing next to medical works in one of the hospital’s visiting areas.

Just days earlier, he opened up about the weeks he spent in ICU – which he compared to being on a ‘haunted house’ because of the sounds of other patients and the mix of drugs he was taking.

He also told Jimmy Kimmel that he would offer his “apologies” to the nurses who dealt with him in the early days of his recovery.

He posted another photo of him standing next to a surgeon and wrote, “Thank you,” followed by a prayer hand emoji.

Dressed in gray sweatpants, a black puffer jacket and sneakers, Renner took a picture outside in front of the medical center sign with four employees.

Renner’s chest shattered and his upper body collapsed when he was pulled underwater and crushed by a seven-ton snowplow near his Lake Tahoe estate just hours after ringing in the New Year.

He had been trying to pull his cousin’s vehicle out of the snow in his driveway when the horrific incident happened.

Renner was heard in agony on a post-accident 911 call, which led to his being airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where he was initially admitted in “critical but stable condition.”

The Avengers star has shared updates on his condition and rehabilitation via social media, including a Jan. 21 post showing him in physical therapy for his legs.

‘Morning workouts, New Year’s resolutions have all changed this New Year…. Born from a tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused on reuniting useful love, ”the star began.

“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and attentions to my family and me…. Much love and appreciation to you all. These 30+ broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just as the love and bond with family and friends deepens. Love and blessings to you all.’

Fast Forward nearly three months, and Renner appears to be in great shape compared to the first images of him in the hospital, all bruised and bandaged.

But Renner still has a long road to recovery ahead of him that will include extensive physical therapy.

Earlier this week, the Oscar nominee walked hand-in-hand with his 10-year-old daughter Ava Berlin Renner at the premiere of his Disney+ miniseries Rennervations, which chronicles how Renner helps charities by recreating decommissioned vehicles for new uses.

He also made his guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! earlier in the week, which began with the actor doing a little dance with his cane as he walked to his seat for the interview.

After the two joked that he was “indestructible” and the host called him the “toughest Avenger,” Renner opened up about his experiences at the hospital.

“I kept trying to get out of the hospital as soon as I was in it,” he excitedly told Kimmel with a big smile on his face.

“I’m like, ‘I’m out of here.’ I hate what I wore. It was nasty,” he added, which was met with laughter from the live audience. ‘It was horrible.’

When asked how long he had been in the first hospital, the father of one of them appeared to look at someone in the audience he knew and replied, “I thought I was there for a few days, but apparently I was there about a week, the first hospital, right?’

He then explained, “There are two different ICs. I was kicked out of the first one, which he blamed in part on the meds he’d been put on.

“First of all, look man, they gave you so many drugs. It [The hospital] was under construction kind of ICU. They hadn’t finished the ICU room when I got there. So they put me in there like a janitor’s closet; it’s like a VIP thing.’

By then, even more laughter came from Kimmel and his studio audience.

“They didn’t have a bathroom there, and I’m like, the lights are flickering. And everyone is moaning here, like they’re dying in ICU. This is like a haunted house,” he joked.

To show off his acting skills, he added a play on words, “It’s called ICU,” then continued in an eerie monstrous voice, in a haunting tone with plenty of animation, “I… see… you.,” that caused even more laughter from the audience.

Renner reiterated that it was “creepy” and “like a haunted house,” and that he “wanted to get out of here.” I’m not going to get better here.’

He sounded much more serious and then revealed his intention to go “Back to that hospital this week to apologize to all those nurses. Yes, I’m going to apologize.’
