Jeremy Renner undergoes an ‘electrical stimulation exercise’ to improve muscle strength after breaking more than 30 bones in a near-fatal snowplow accident seven weeks ago
Jeremy Renner shared a glimpse into his physical recovery process with a video that was shared to his Instagram account on Saturday.
In the clip, the 52-year-old artist had several vibrating attachments attached to his right leg as he underwent what he described as an “electrical stimulation exercise.”
The Hawkeye star was badly injured in a snowplow accident that took place on New Year’s Day, and his recovery could take years.
Renner was using his snowplow to help pull his nephew’s car out of the driveway of his residence near Reno, Nevada, after it got stuck in the snow.
However, his snowplow began to slide down a street after the car was towed, causing the actor to jump out of the cab.

After getting out of the vehicle, Renner realized that he could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident.
The Kingstown Mayor Star then attempted to re-enter the snowplow to divert its path, but was swept under the left-hand side track and struck during the attempt.
Renner was crushed under the vehicle and was immediately taken to the hospital suffering from breathing difficulties and various other injuries.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office report found that the snowplow may have had various mechanical problems at the time of the incident.
The interpreter underwent several medical procedures while recovering in the hospital and often expressed his gratitude to his medical team through his Instagram account.
Renner was finally allowed to recover at home and shared a photo of himself in physical therapy last month.
She also wrote a short message in the caption of her post that partially read, “I want to thank EVERYONE for your messages and consideration for me and my family… Much love and appreciation to all.”
The actor added, “These 30+ broken bones will mend, become stronger, as love and bond with family and friends deepen.” Love and blessings to all of you.’
