Jeremy Renner shared a sweet snapshot of his ‘protector’ dog Hershey as he continues his recovery since he suffered serious injuries in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

The 52-year-old actor posted a snapshot of his dog sitting on his bed looking out the window, captioned, “My little protector.” Sweet love Hershey.

The star has been focused on his recovery since the accident, but he recently appeared in the trailer for his new documentary series Rennervations, filmed before he was crushed by a 14,000-pound snowplow.

Renner stars in the Disney+ series in which he enlists his celebrity friends to repurpose vehicles that can serve communities.

The concept of the series is to find decommissioned vehicles, such as city buses, that can be rebuilt to serve a new purpose, such as a mobile recreation center, with the help of a team of expert builders.

Just a day earlier, Jeremy was photographed in public for the first time since suffering multiple serious injuries in a New Year’s Day snowplow accident near his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Renner has been chronicling her recovery, which could take years, since surviving the horrific accident on January 1.

Last week, the star said he was doing “whatever it takes” in his recovery, in a video of him improving his leg strength with the help of a Technogym bike.

Renner concentrated on his left leg as he sat in the saddle and pedaled away, using his hand to help him through the movements.

Renner also prioritized her “mental recovery” as she curled up by the fire and opened The Book of Awakening, a “spiritual journal” written by philosopher, poet, and cancer survivor Mark Nepo.

In the accident, Renner was using his snowplow to help pull his nephew’s car out of the driveway of his residence near Reno, Nevada, after it got stuck in the snow. However, his snowplow began to slide down a street after the car was towed, causing the actor to jump out of the cab.

After getting out of the vehicle, Renner realized that he could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident. The Kingstown Mayor Star then attempted to re-enter the snowplow to divert its path, but was swept under the left-hand side track and struck during the attempt.

Renner was crushed under the vehicle and was immediately taken to the hospital suffering from breathing difficulties and various other injuries.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office report found that the snowplow may have had various mechanical problems at the time of the incident.

The interpreter underwent several medical procedures while recovering in the hospital and often expressed his gratitude to his medical team through his Instagram account.

Renner was finally allowed to recover at home and shared a photo of himself in physical therapy last month.

She also wrote a short message in the caption of her post that partially read, “I want to thank EVERYONE for your messages and consideration for me and my family… Much love and appreciation to all.”

The actor added, “These 30+ broken bones will mend, become stronger, as love and bond with family and friends deepen.” Love and blessings to all of you.’

Evangeline Lilly, who co-starred with Renner in The Hurt Locker, recently spoke with Access and revealed that the artist was in a good mood after the accident.
