Jeremy Renner posts a new recovery update on Instagram after being ‘completely crushed’ by snow plow

Jeremy Renner posted a new recovery update to his Instagram story on Friday, thanking the UCI team who helped him start his healing journey.

The 52-year-old Marvel star has remained in the Intensive Care Unit at his hospital since his devastating snowplow accident on January 1.

Renner was struck by a seven-ton snowplow on New Year’s Day while working to free a family member trapped in the snow blanketing his ranch in Lake Tahoe.

“Thank you to Renown’s ICU medical team for starting this journey,” the Hawkeye star wrote, captioning a picture of him in his hospital bed surrounded by the ICU medical team.

This latest recovery update follows a video Jeremy posted to social media from his ICU bed on Thursday.

Renner was bruised under his eye in his video and appeared to be sedated as his sister massaged his scalp, joking, “You’re so sexy.”

The Hawkeye actor slurred his words as he replied that it was his first shower and that he’s “definitely weak or something.” Rough.’

She captioned the video: ‘A ‘not very good’ day in ICU turned into an amazing spa day with my sister and mom. Thank you.’

The actor, who was left in critical condition after the accident, underwent two surgeries in which metal pins were placed around his leg. As of Tuesday, he was awake and talking, a source told DailyMail.com.

At the time, he posted a photo of himself in his hospital bed with visible bruises on his face as he thanked well-wishers for their “kind words.”

‘Thank you all for your kind words. I’m (sic) too messy right now to write. But I’m sending love to all of you,’ she captioned the image.

Authorities said Renner tried to use his 14,330-pound snowplow to help free a family member with a personal vehicle that was stuck in the snow.

The actor got out of the vehicle to speak with the unidentified family member, during which time, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said, “The PistenBully was observed [snow plow] it was starting to roll.

He tried to get back into the vehicle but was soon run over, Balaam said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon.

A 911 call made later indicates that the right side of the actor’s chest collapsed and his upper torso was crushed.

The emergency record, obtained by TMZhe also included accident notes stating that Renner could be heard moaning in the background of the call and that he was experiencing heavy bleeding to his head and other injuries.

Injuries to his chest and torso were reportedly making it difficult for the Marvel star to breathe before he was airlifted to a nearby hospital from the scene of the crash around 10 a.m. Sunday morning near his home. in the Reno area.

Neighbors had tried to help Renner immediately afterward, the sheriff said, coming out with towels and giving him first aid, but none of them were doctors.

Balaam added that police do not suspect foul play, nor does he suspect that Renner was in any way affected at the time.

The Sheriff’s department is investigating the accident and has the snowplow in their possession.

Renner spoke to emergency services before being airlifted to a nearby hospital just before 10 a.m. local time.

Renner’s family was visiting to celebrate the New Year, but the high-altitude village near Mount Rose, Nevada, where she lives, was buried under five feet of snow. Residents had been without electricity and running water for two days when the accident occurred on New Year’s Day.

Renner, who has his own fire truck, plow and other heavy machinery, brought out a snowplow truck to help remove some of the snow early Jan. 1.

“I was clearing the path to go snow skiing. She got out and then the machine took off. The machine jumped out of gear. And then she did something to try to get into it and she got caught up and ran over him.

Two neighbors said he had surgery at Renown Regional Medical Center, known as the best hospital in Northern Nevada with the best orthopedic specialists.

The source added that conditions were extreme this weekend at his $3.25 million home near Mount Rose Highway near the city of Reno.

TMZ has previously reported that the safety features on Renner’s snow cat failed and caused it to roll onto Renner’s leg, approximately a quarter mile from his home. The machine was built by the German manufacturer Kassbohrer.
