Jeremy Renner is snapped enjoying scooter outing with daughter Ava
Jeremy Renner was spotted with his daughter outside their sprawling Los Angeles home on Sunday — with the star surprisingly spry on a motorized scooter.
The sighting comes days after Renner and only child Ava, 10, were spotted on a family outing to Six Flags in nearby Valencia — which itself came hours after the airing of a great interview with the 52-year-old and Diane Sawyer.
Broadcast on ABC, the sit-down was the actor’s first since he was nearly killed by a snowplow at his other Lake Tahoe residence, breaking more than 30 bones and undergoing multiple surgeries.
Now on the mend, Renner — who had been trying to save his nephew when he was injured by the seven-ton snowcat — has since done his best to spend more time with family and keep fans updated on his condition.
At Six Flags Friday, Renner was seen manning another mechanized scooter – though a distinctly different one with four wheels, and typically reserved for disabled riders.
In fact, Renner’s ride looked more recreational than it needed to be, with the star easily holding herself upright with both legs during the short Easter excursion — and even appearing to be smiling for the cameras nearby.

Despite the celebratory occasion, the father and daughter looked somewhat decked out, with Renner in a T-shirt and cropped jeans, and Ava still in pajamas and slippers.
The youngster didn’t exactly seem thrilled by the media attention she and her famous dad received, while Renner looked remarkably happy despite being three months away from his much-publicized accident.
With no noticeable mark on his person, the actor’s appearance was far from the resemblance seen in photos shortly after the accident, showing his sad condition shortly after being taken to a hospital in Reno with “critical” injuries transported.
At the time, the damage suffered by the actor – despite the relentless coverage – was shrouded in speculation, with many at the time wondering if the actor would ever grace the silver screen or even walk again.
However, now – more than three months after the accident – Renner seems to be fine, revealing to Sawyer that he now walks with very little assistance, even after metal plates are placed in his shattered torso and eye socket, which also collapsed. .
“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone,” he told Sawyer, before adding, “But I’m fueled up with love — and titanium.”
Also surgically placed in the actor was a titanium metal bar, in his shattered left tibia, to hold it together after it was caught and broken in the undercarriage of his family’s seven-ton snowcat.
Last week, the actor – held together by the assortment of plates and screws – first appeared for an interview to speak about both the accident and his ongoing path to recovery, with Sawyer presiding over the expected spot.
He described how before the near-fatal accident, he and his 27-year-old cousin, Alex Fries, had tried to clear the road outside his Lake Tahoe home so his family, including Ava, could go skiing.

The sighting came days after Renner described how before the January accident, he and his 27-year-old cousin had tried to clear the road outside his Lake Tahoe home so his family, including Ava, could go skiing.

Fries, the actor recalled, was trying to maneuver a pickup truck, while Renner cleared the road with the aforementioned snowplow.
Renner told Sawyer that he had been trying to free his cousin’s pickup when the accident happened, causing the plow he had been driving to skid toward his cousin.
At that moment, Renner recalled, he could not see Fries and was afraid he would be hit.
He then opted to lean out of the cab to get a better view, likening the move to “driving a car with your foot.” [hanging] outside.’
He told Sawyer that the decision was a “mistake,” and described how he fell and frantically tried to re-enter the cab before being sucked into the vehicle’s still-moving tracks.
“Then I screamed,” Renner said of the blood-curdling pain that followed.
“When I went under the thing,” he recalled, “I moved my legs and I said, that one is really messed up. That leg is going to be a problem.”
Sawyer asked if he remembered the pain, to which Renner replied, “Oh, everything.” I was all awake.
“I was on tarmac and ice. It feels like imagining it. I could see my eye from my other eye. I saw stars,’ he said.
His injuries included a shattered right knee, broken jaw and broken collarbone, as well as a punctured liver and collapsed lung.
He went on to share how he began to lose hope when his cousin frantically ran to Renner’s house, where several members of his family had stayed for the holidays, before jolting himself back to reality.
‘What does my body look like? Will I just become like a spine and a brain like a science experiment? Is that my existence now? What will my existence be like?’
As the prospect of death entered his mind, the Hawkeye star recalled saying to himself, “not today, motherf*****,” before being flown out of the area by helicopter.
While waiting for first responders to arrive, Renner said his mother, Valerie, never left his side and has since nursed him back to health at his home in LA, more than 500 miles away.
Valerie was not seen outside the residence on Sunday with her now recovering son and granddaughter – whose mother is Renner’s ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.
