Jeremy wore a casual ensemble that day, including a black T-shirt and vest and beige cargo pants.

Just hours after ringing in the New Year 2023, Renner’s chest was crushed and his upper body collapsed when he was pulled under a seven-ton snow plow near his Lake Tahoe home.

He had been trying to pull his cousin’s car out of the snow in his driveway when the horrific incident occurred.

The actor was heard in agony on a 911 call after the accident, which led to him being flown to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where he was initially listed in “critical but stable condition.”

He ended up with nearly three dozen broken bones, not to mention cuts, scrapes and bruises.

Once he was stable and had several days of recovery under his belt, the Hurt Locker star began sharing updates about his condition and rehabilitation via social media, including a Jan. 21 post that showed him in physical therapy for his legs.

“Morning workouts, resolutions have all changed this particular new year…. Born from a tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused on uniting usable love,” he wrote.

After putting in painful work at the gym and physical therapy in mid-April, Renner improved enough that he was able to walk hand-in-hand with daughter Ava at the premiere of his Disney+ miniseries Rennervations, which describes his work as a charity helps by reconstructing decommissioned vehicles for new use.

Not long later, Renner visited the staff at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada to personally thank them for saving his life.

During an interview with Diane Sawyer in April, The Town actor sat down to open up about the incident as well.

Although he admitted that he was “triggered by the accident,” Jeremy explained, “I’m changing the narrative of being a victim, of making a mistake or something else.”

He added that he refused to be “haunted by that memory in that way.”

Now the star returns to television for season three of Mayor of Kingstown.

Paramount+ has officially renewed the series for a third season The Hollywood Reporter.

The show was quietly renewed several months ago, but a formal announcement was postponed in light of Renner’s recovery, insiders told the outlet.

No premiere date for the third season has been announced yet. Renner is still healing from his injuries, and a historic double-whammy in Hollywood continues to unfold.

Renner has played Mike McLusky since 2021, and season two of Mayor of Kingstown premiered while he was still in the hospital.

The actor has been documenting his recovery progress on Instagram and in his latest post, he shared a video of his leg exercises along with an inspiring message.

‘Positive daily routines have been a solid foundation for my recovery. Build your mind, the body will follow.

“I make sure I get leg movements and stretches every day… “oiling” my metal/joints through movement… pushing out scar tissue, strengthening muscles, tendons to have more joint support.

“If you’re struggling, know that your attitude will shape your every waking moment.

‘Let go of the past and move with positive intention and you will be taken care of. I promise.’
