Jeremy Clarkson was criticized by his daughter Emily for his controversial comments about the Duchess of Sussex.

Emily, who is expecting her first child with Alex Andrew, 30, a Dublin-born publicist she met at the Glastonbury festival, posted the snapshot after condemning her father’s comments about Meghan Markle.

‘I want to make it very clear that I am opposed to everything my father wrote. . . and I continue to support those who are hated online,” he told his followers.

In the column, which became IPSO’s most reported article, Clarkson wrote that she dreamed of Meghan parading through British cities and publicly shaming her.

Now Harry and Meghan have revealed they did not receive a personal apology and said they don’t expect the public’s reaction to cause any noticeable change.

“The fact that The Sun has not contacted the Duchess of Sussex to apologize shows their intent,” her spokesperson told HuffPost.

‘This is nothing more than a public relations stunt. While the public absolutely deserves the publication’s regret for its dangerous comments, we would not be in this situation if The Sun did not continue to profit from and exploit hate, violence and misogyny.

Clarkson’s column published last Saturday drew criticism from high-profile figures, politicians and her own daughter, Emily Clarkson.

In total, IPSO said it had received more than 17,500 complaints as of 9 a.m. Tuesday, rising to 20,800 as of 5 p.m.

The backlash surpassed the total number of complaints the media regulator received in 2021: 14,355.
