Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings is labeled a ‘SCAB’ by furious viewers as it’s confirmed he WILL host game show’s celebrity spinoff – despite the ongoing actor and writer’s strikes

Danger! viewers are extremely upset with Ken Jennings’ decision to replace the host of Celebrity Jeopardy! amid the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes – with some going so far as to label the on-air star a ‘scab’ for crossing picket lines.

Mayim Bialik was initially set to host the spin-off, but decided to step down to support, among other things, the writers and actors who are currently on strike against unfair wages.

While Mayim, 47, and Ken, 49, parted ways as hosts of the most recent regular season of Jeopardy!, the former previously hosted spin-off Celebrity Jeopardy! show alone.

But now Ken has stepped in as host for the final season, which premieres September 27, despite the fact that the strikes show no signs of coming to an end.

Showrunner Michael Davies revealed that the material for Celebrity Jeopardy! season two was written before the strike.

The plan for Jeopardy! moving forward means reusing material from the previous season rather than taking a break or showing reruns to support the strike.

Fans called out Ken on Twitter for being a villain, a term used for someone who chooses to cross the picket line and work during a strike.

Ken Jennings is a scab. Pass it on,” said one user.

“@KenJennings don’t be a villain, support the actors and writers,” another pleaded.

The word fans have used the most to describe their feelings towards Ken’s actions is “disappointed.”

“Disappointed to learn that Ken Jennings is a scab,” one user wrote.

Another tweeted, “Man it’s so disappointing that the Ken Jennings are a villain.”

Many fans who said they once respected Jennings now claim they will not support him.

“@KenJennings sucks to see you go mange. I adored you and I am very disappointed to see that you are such a person,” said one fan.

“@Jeopardy has always been a part of my family’s life. We do not watch substandard programs hosted/played by rogues. The writers ARE the game. Your willful indifference to your conspicuous friends is reprehensible, wrote another.

They added: “What a blot on an otherwise good reputation.”

Others condemn him for refusing to show solidarity with the striking writers and actors.

“I respect Mayim Bialik for not crossing the offensive line. Ken Jennings should refuse this, but he has no solidarity with the writers of Jeopardy & Celebrity Jeopardy,” one user wrote.

“The thing is, if Ken Jennings refused to cross the picket even though he’s not in the SAG, it would have a direct impact,” said another.

“Sony and the network would miss out on a big show because of an already barren fall landscape. The moral thing you can do is support your co-presenter.’

Ken initially crossed the picket line in May when the strike first began.

Mayim immediately quit her hosting duties when the strike was announced.

The pair alternated hosting duties this season, with Ken hosting episodes between August and December and Mayim taking over in January.

The former Danger! The champion instead took the rest of her slot and seemingly will continue to do so until the strike is over.
