Danger! champion Brian Henegar announced on Tuesday that he is bowing to Twitter trolls and leaving the social media site after countless users compared him to Adolf Hitler.
A native of LaFollette, Tennessee, Henegar called users who compared him to the Nazi dictator a “bunch of jerks” who ruined his parties.
“Right now I feel every emotion under the sun as I relive my Jeopardy! appearance. And I see what a bunch of jerks are doing on Twitter because they can all focus on my looks… So I’m going to be leaving Twitter for a while, goodbye,” he wrote.
So far this week, Henegar has racked up nearly $50,000 in prize money, kicking off his winning streak on Monday by defeating Crystal Zhao and Amanda Bain Wysocki in Final Jeopardy.
During Monday’s performance, one person tweeted, “Brian was so excited when he won, he caused quite a führer.”

Henegar also received support from users after announcing a donation to the ADL. One user called it a demonstration as “pure class”, another said it was the “perfect response” to the trolls.
