Jens Lehmann hit with jaw-dropping fine for property damage and attempted fraud in German court – just days after the former Arsenal goalkeeper was ‘arrested for drink driving after Oktoberfest celebrations’

Jens Lehmann has been fined £112,500 after being found guilty of property damage and attempted fraud by a German court, a report has revealed.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper was accused of using a chainsaw to cut the roof beams of a newly built garage on his neighbor’s property in the summer of 2022.

The verdict comes after Lehmann appealed the initial ruling, which saw him given a suspended prison sentence and a fine of more than £350,000.

The criminal charges were dropped after Lehmann reached an out-of-court settlement with his neighbor, said to be in excess of £50,000.

He was also charged with evading parking fines that had already been paid.
