Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg shared how renewing their annual vows has become a “powerful” way to freshen up their relationship.
The former Playboy model, 51, and the Blue Bloods actor, 55, who tied the knot in August 2014, shared their thoughts on how these rituals help “reboot” their marriage.
‘It really feels like a restart. Like we turned off our phone to restart it. We upgrade our phone. To me, our innovations feel like an upgrade every time,” McCarthy said Fox on Wednesday.
“Because how often, after you’ve been married for a long time, do you actually stand still and stare into each other’s eyes, listen to the promise and say the words again,” she added.
Wahlberg said, “To be able to do it again with what we know now and ten years under our belts, and to just be in that space of honesty and vulnerability with each other, it’s a really profound thing to do.”

The couple also revealed that it was the former New Kids on the Block star who introduced the special tradition to their wedding.
“When we did it, it was so powerful and so emotional for us that I decided we had to do it every year,” he revealed. “The thing was, I didn’t always tell her about it, so I surprised her for nine years.”
Despite celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary in August, Jenny revealed that friends and family had warned her and Donnie about recent divorce rumors.
‘People just have to look at us and know that will never happen. It’s like “till death do us part, absolutely, in this marriage,” she explained.
During her Tuesday performance op Watch what’s happening livethe star confirmed her commitment to Donnie, telling host Andy Cohen, “Listen, there will never be a divorce between me and Donnie. It’s till death do us part. No matter what happens.’
Wahlberg sat in the studio audience during his wife’s interview and interjected, “We wouldn’t break your heart.” ‘
He added: “We will never break your heart, Andy. That’s one of the many reasons it will never happen.”
The couple first met during a taping of Watch What Happens Live that took place in 2012.

The actor was married to Kimberly Fey from 1999 to 2010, and the couple shares two sons named Elijah, 12, and Xavier, 20.
The actress was also married to John Asher from 1999 to 2005, and they share a son named Evan, 21, who was born in 2022.
Wahlberg and McCarthy eventually started dating in 2013, and the following year they made their first red carpet appearance as a couple.
The happy couple tied the knot in August 2014 in the model’s home state of Illinois.
