Jennifer Tilly says joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 cast was ‘scarier than Chucky’
Jennifer Tilly joked that she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 last month and that it was “scarier than Chucky” — referring to her Syfy/USA Network horror series, now in its third season.
“Oh my God, it’s insane. It’s, like, scarier than Chucky. I’ll tell you that,” the 65-year-old Oscar nominee told THR’s It happened in Hollywood podcast on tuesday.
“I’m not a housewife. I’m a girlfriend, it’s a lot easier. You just dive in and out. You try to avoid flying shards. And you know, when drinks get thrown, I have good reflexes.”
Jennifer, who is friends with Sutton Stracke, spent her first day of filming the hit Bravo reality show on June 15 at a spa in Hancock Park, where Dorit Kemsley and Erika Girardi attempted to calm a crying Kyle Richards after she left the set.
Tilly (born Chan) appeared to be having a better time while filming scenes with Sutton at Garcelle Beauvais’ beach house in Oxnard, California on June 22.

The Family Guy actress was married to The Simpsons co-creator Sam Simon from 1984 to 1991, but they remained friends until his death in 2015 at age 59 after a three-year battle with colon cancer.
In 2018, Jennifer, who has been in a relationship with professional poker player Phil Laak since 2004, still received 30% of the net proceeds from the Fox animated series as part of Simon’s lucrative 1993 payout from co-creator Matt Groening.
Tilly was joined on the podcast by her former leading lady Gina Gershon, who was “too scared” to star in RHOBH when they “approached” her.
“You know what? You’re going to be a genius at this,” the 62-year-old Thanksgiving actress cheered.
“You’re taking over that whole set, Jen. I have no doubt in my mind. I’d even watch it with you there!”
The professional poker player and Gina were promoting The Criterion Collection’s new 4K edition of The Wachowskis’ 1996 directorial debut, Bound, in which they played lesbian lovers trying to steal money from the mob.
Jennifer previously guest-starred on the 2010 episode of RHOBH and the 14th season is set to premiere this fall on Bravo.
