The country star will star alongside Leslie Odom Jr., Ann Dowd, Lidya Jewett and Ellen Burstyn, who will reprise her role as the mother of the young woman who is possessed in the original film.
His role has yet to be revealed, but he will reportedly be a major part of the sequel.

In an interview with colliderGreen revealed that the plan is to tell the story following the original.
He revealed that Leslie Odom Jr. will play the father of a possessed child this time around.
‘Desperate for help, [his character] it tracks Burstyn’s character, whose young daughter was possessed by an evil entity known as Pazuzu in the first film,” he said.
