Jennifer Lopez showcases her famous curves in sheer sparkling gown at 2024 Met Gala but husband Ben Affleck is a no-show after ‘unhinged’ Tom Brady roast

Jennifer Lopez wowed in her stunning 2024 Met Gala look on Monday night.

The actress, 54, showed off her famous curves in a figure-hugging, sheer Schiaparelli dress with a dramatic, sculptural bust and a plunging neckline.

The long train of her dress, decorated with silver glitter leaves and vines, followed her as she climbed the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

However, she made her grand arrival all alone as her husband Ben Affleck was not present following his “unhinged rant” during Tom Brady’s Netflix roast.

For fashion’s biggest night, she stole the show as she modeled cream peep-toe pumps to match her haute couture, custom-made garment — which resembled Emily Ratajkowski’s bejeweled nude dress at the star-studded gala.

Paired with the dazzling hand-embroidered dress, which features more than 2.5 million silver foil bugle beads, she wore a silver statement necklace with a matching diamond bracelet and massive ring – all from Tiffany & Co.

She threw her brunette locks into a chic topknot to show off her statement diamond earrings.

The singer entered with a cream-colored satin clutch in tow.

For makeup, the Marry Me star opted for a flattering, monochrome brown makeup look with dramatic, full lashes.

She finished it off with a glossy pink blush and a glossy nude lip.

Lopez was previously seen leaving her hotel and arriving at the Met Gala all alone.

With the help of her team holding the long train of her dress, she was seen making the streets of New York City her runway as she made her way to the big party.

Lopez is co-chairing this year’s Met Gala, alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth and Zendaya.

However, at this esteemed event, her husband was noticeably absent.

This comes shortly after his “unhinged rant” during Tom Brady’s Netflix roast on Sunday.

Social media users criticized Affleck for his “unrecognizable” appearance and speculated that he had undergone a facelift or some type of plastic surgery prior to the airing of The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.

The performance included some awkward jokes and a lengthy rant about social media trolls; and many on X, formerly known as Twitter, labeled his set as the worst of the night.

The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition falls on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

This year the event is called Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, while the dress code is The Garden of Time.

Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are this year’s co-chairs. Vogue’s is also on the committee Anna Wintour.

The chairs of honor for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of career achievements and each has their own style history at the Met Gala,” Vogue said.

The display will feature approximately 250 items from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection. Many of the pieces are too fragile to ever be worn again.

The pieces are all rendered using elements such as AI, GCI and more, while themes such as land, sea and sky are played out.

“It is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” says Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu Curator responsible for The Costume Institute, about the upcoming exhibition.

“One thing I hope this show will activate is the sensory appreciation of fashion.”

Guests expected to attend include the Kardashians, Blake Lively, Hailey Bieber, Sarah Jessica Parker and Timothee Chalamet.

Gwendoline Christie, La La Anthony and Ashley Graham will host, while YouTuber Emma Chamberlain is expected to interview stars on the red carpet.

Last year’s gala honored the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
