Jennifer Lopez jokes that Ben’s ‘miserable’ look is actually his ‘happy face’

Jennifer Lopez mocked her husband Ben Affleck on Twitter after he went viral for looking “miserable” at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

The couple further set social media on fire after the singer, 53, appeared to ‘yell’ at the actor, 50, for not appearing ‘friendly’ during the ceremony.

But in her latest tweet, Lopez joked that Affleck’s deadpan stare is his ‘happy face.’

He did so while expressing his excitement over the first trailer for Affleck’s latest film, Air, in which he directs and stars as Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

‘AIR…I can’t wait!’ Started off was Lopez, who tagged the Academy Award winner’s co-stars and embedded the full sneak peek into her post.

But unlike the one shared on YouTube, Lopez’s version began with a still image of Affleck’s Knight scowling at the camera.

“My husband’s happy face,” the On The Floor singer captioned.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to her humorous post, with several responding with crying and laughing emojis.

The couple’s seemingly tense exchange during Sunday’s Grammys was caught on camera just as host Trevor Noah sat down next to them in the audience.

A lip reader commissioned by DailyMail.com recently revealed what the two had actually said to each other.

“Stop,” Lopez tells him. ‘He seems friendlier. Look motivated. Affleck replies, “I might.”

The next day, Lopez tried to shrug off the drama by sharing her own video of the night with Affleck, captioned, “Always the best moment with my love, my husband.”

It came weeks after Affleck was captured angrily confronting his new wife at the January premiere of his romantic comedy, Shotgun Wedding.

In the clip, Lopez looks on serenely as Affleck challenges her with a red face. She refuses to respond to her aggressive stance, which seems to irritate him even more.

Affleck and Lopez tied the knot in July after rekindling their romance in May 2021 after 17 years apart. They famously dated in the early years, but called off their engagement in 2004.

The Gone Girl actor proposed again in April 2022 with a stunning 8.5-carat green diamond for which Affleck reportedly paid more than $5 million, according to Page Six.

They were legally declared man and wife at a Las Vegas wedding chapel in July, but held a lavish wedding ceremony the following month at Affleck’s sprawling Georgia estate.

In addition to raising a blended family with Lopez, Affleck has supported himself by working hard in the film industry.

His latest project Air sees his star alongside his best friend and collaborator Matt Damon.

Telling the story of the rise of the Air Jordan sneaker brand, Air is directed by Affleck and features an all-star cast including Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker and Viola Davis.

The shoes, produced by the American corporation Nike, Inc., were created for former Hall of Fame basketball player Michael Jordan during his time with the Chicago Bulls in 1984, and were released to the public on April 1, 1985.

The trailer for Air begins with Damon playing sports executive Sonny Vaccaro as he listens to how sales and growth at Nike’s basketball division are trending downward before being called into the office of Nike founder Phil Knight (Affleck ), where they give him a stern talk.

This is followed by Howard White (Chris Tucker) and George Raveling (Marlon Wayans) telling Vaccaro that nobody likes Nike shoes.

When discussing a new idea with his boss (Bateman) regarding the individual player sponsorship proposal, Vaccaro is told that he needs a pretty convincing presentation.

“I can tell you something that other companies can’t compete with yours,” says Vaccaro. ‘Our basketball division is terrible.’

‘I don’t love it,’ his boss replies sardonically.

Vaccaro then watches numerous tapes in search of the perfect player to collaborate with before finding one and showing it to Bateman’s character.

‘Who is that Jesus? I can’t afford it,” he replies to Vaccaro.

Damon then drives and shows up unannounced at the home of an older couple (Davis and Julius Tennon) who seem skeptical of his intentions.

The trailer shows a montage, underscored by Vaccaro’s powerful plea to Knight to hire a rookie to be one of the biggest faces of the brand.

In the montage, he plays craps in a casino and can be seen losing, but taking the dice again and giving them another chance.

Knight’s voice can then be heard asking what his plan is and Vaccaro responds, “We built a line of shoes just for him.”

Vaccaro tells a designer he needs “the best basketball shoe ever made,” and when asked who it’s for, he answers ironically “Michael Jordan.”

During a meeting with Davis’ character, who is Jordan’s mother Deloris, Vaccaro tells her, “I believe in your son.” I think he is the future. And his story will make us want to fly. But a shoe is just a shoe.

“Until my son gets into it,” she replies as a man, whose face is obscured but possibly the actor playing Michael Jordan, flips a red and white sneaker in his hands.

The trailer ends with a humorous scene in which Knight asks Vaccaro if he has a name for the shoe. Vaccaro tells him that his name is Air Jordan and Knight makes a face.

‘Oh really?’ Vaccaro asks upon seeing the face to which Knight replies, “Maybe it will grow on me.”

Air will be released exclusively in theaters on April 5.
