Jennifer Lopez finally took off her wedding ring on Monday amid speculation that she and Ben Affleck are “no longer speaking” amid an impending divorce.

The 55-year-old singer has been in the news alongside her 51-year-old actor husband, who has been embroiled in divorce rumours after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that the documents had been ‘finalised but not yet filed’.

Lopez made a defiant comment when she showed off her bare hands – after earlier changing her wedding ring on her right hand – while touring a $68 million mansion in Beverly Hills.

The star looked somber as she stepped out with her 16-year-old daughter Emme, wearing a plunging black top and high-waisted cream pants. She had just flown back to LA after a long stay in the Hamptons.

She wore her locks in soft waves and oversized sunglasses during the tour of the 5-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom mansion.

This marks the first time the star has completely taken off her wedding ring, after Affleck showed off his own ring-less hand on Saturday when he debuted a midlife crisis makeover of a faux hawk and rocker T-shirt.

In recent months, photos have been taken of the once-loving couple, who dated from 2002 to 2004, without wedding rings. Now they appear to be going through with their divorce after a final attempt at reconciliation failed.

As reports mount about the fate of their A-list marriage, it appears the couple has cut all ties with each other.

According to the outlet, the Hollywood moguls are only making the split more difficult by keeping their mouths shut: they refuse to speak to each other in person or by phone.

However, they plan to hire a divorce attorney once they reach a settlement.

“They finalized the divorce papers a month ago, but are still waiting for the right time to file,” a source close to the duo said.

‘They will then release a joint statement saying that they love each other very much and that they fought to make it work, but it didn’t work out.

“Honestly, they couldn’t come to a compromise in the end. What they had before is gone and they both accepted it,” another source claimed.

Amid reports of their split, Ben has also revealed his shocking new look.

He completed the outfit with skinny jeans, aviator shades and a black leather jacket that looked too small, but was noticeably without his wedding ring.

Ben and Jennifer were last pictured together on March 30. Since then, they’ve spent the summer apart — Jennifer largely on the East Coast, while Ben remains home in Los Angeles.

The couple showed they had no plans for romance as they celebrated their wedding anniversary, which fell on July 16, in separate cities.

In May, reports emerged about Ben and Jennifer’s marital problems. According to a source close to the couple, Ben had moved into a $100,000 rental home and the couple was looking to sell their “dream home.”

Another source noted that the rift between the man and woman was “a difficult daily problem” because of fundamental philosophical differences.

“She likes to open her heart up to her fans and the world,” the source said. “He’s more introspective and private.”

Ben’s house was a short drive from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood.

The couple was married from 2005 to 2018 and have two children: Violet (18), Fin (15) and Samuel (12).
