Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s rekindled romance was “doomed from the start” because the singer has a history of “rushing into marriage,” according to a relationship expert.
London-based dating coach Kate Mansfield told FEMAIL that while the relationship seemed “idyllic” to many, there are several reasons why the 55-year-old pop star filed for divorce on the second anniversary of her beautiful Georgia wedding to the 52-year-old actor.
Jennifer is clearly a “hopeless romantic, longing for a deep, meaningful connection,” she said.
Ben, on the other hand, was on the rebound from a serious relationship.
“This mismatch in emotional readiness meant that Jen was looking for lasting love, while Ben may have been looking more for comfort than commitment.”

Kate also thinks the couple were eager to start a life together and took time to rediscover themselves.
“Instead of taking the time to solidify their relationship, they jumped straight into an engagement,” she continued.
This hurried pace often leaves couples unable to attend to potential conflicts or understand each other’s deeper needs and values.
“For Bennifer, this meant ignoring fundamental differences that could affect their long-term compatibility.”
To make matters even more difficult, there was also public pressure on the famous couple to make it work.
“Their relationship was under constant media scrutiny,” Kate said. “This pressure can distort real feelings and force couples to make decisions, like getting engaged, before they fully understand how compatible they are.
‘The emphasis on their celebrity often overshadows the personal aspects of their relationship and distorts reality.’
She also felt that Ben may have missed “serious warning signs” in Jennifer’s approach to marriage.

JLo recently joked that she’s “something of an expert” on weddings and that she’s now divorced for the fourth time.
“Lopez’s marriages were even the subject of her music video for Can’t Get Enough,” Kate continued.
“Maybe Ben needed some guidance before he jumped in so quickly?”
Jennifer finally confirmed months-old rumors when she filed for divorce from her husband Ben on Tuesday.
The shocking legal documents, obtained by DailyMail.com, were filed just over two years after the couple tied the knot. during a breathtaking wedding ceremony at his $8.9 million Georgia mansion, surrounded by family, friends and celebrities.
The celebrity couple, better known as ‘Bennifer’, wowed the crowd with Jennifer in a stunning white couture gown by Ralph Lauren, complete with a long train and veil, while Ben looked dapper in a matching white and black tuxedo jacket.
Photos taken from above show the celebrities embracing and laughing on a waterfront jetty outside their sprawling mansion and as they walk past a snow-white altar set up especially for the day.
But the two — who must agree on a way to divide their $640 million fortune without a prenuptial agreement — had been plagued by signs of trouble in paradise for some time before Jennifer decided to make their split official.
In the last months of their marriage, they became increasingly uncomfortable and tense in public, which in retrospect was a sign that their marriage was on the brink of collapse.
JLo and Ben first started dating in 2002 after bonding on the set of the film Gigli. They quickly became engaged.
But in 2004, just before they were to become husband and wife, they called it quits.
They both married others – she tied the knot with Mac Anthony in 2004 and he tied the knot with Jennifer Garner in 2005 – but after they split, they eventually got back together.
In 2021, their love for each other was rekindled and in July 2022 they got married in Las Vegas.
But now, after months of rumors that their marriage was on the rocks, Jennifer has filed for divorce.
According to legal documents seen by DailyMail.com, she listed April 26, 2024 as the divorce date.
According to insiders, the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before they got married.
Ben previously spoke about his desire to keep their relationship ‘private’ in JLo’s documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told.
The film followed the making of her latest album, This Is Me… Now, much of which was inspired by her romance with Ben
During one segment of the film, Ben admitted he was “amazed” when he saw her musicians flipping through his personal love letters, which JLo had given them as inspiration for her next album.
The actor kept the correspondence with the singer during his 13-year marriage to Garner, later having the letters and emails bound into a book to give to her when they met again in 2021.
