Are Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck the most bad-tempered Hollywood couple? The photos show the power couple bickering and looking tense during a series of tense outings

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in July 2022, nearly two decades after they called off their first engagement as they rekindled their romance.

The singer, 54, and the Hollywood actor, 51, have since purchased and moved into a very lavish $60 million mega-mansion, complete with a lavish infinity pool.

The couple spends time at the 40,000-square-foot mansion with Jennifer's twins Max and Emme, 15, who she shares with Marc Anthony, and Ben's children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, who he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

However, it seems things haven't always been plain sailing for Jennifer and Ben, as they looked very tense during a series of tense public outings.

The power couple last looked bad-tempered as they were involved in a heated argument during their outing in St. Barts.

Last week they appeared to have had an exciting day in paradise on Saturday and looked on edge as they shopped in the luxury boutiques of St. Bart's capital Gustavia.

They had a heated argument while trying on expensive Bulgari jewelry together, and at one point Ben looked irritated as his wife tried on a variety of lavish pieces.

He threw his hands in the air as Jennifer sat next to him with a tense expression during the seemingly strenuous shopping trip.

A few months earlier, in September, Jennifer was seen looking very tense as she sat next to Ben in the passenger seat of a car as they drove through Los Angeles.

As Ben drove her around in his black car, Jennifer seemed deep in thought as they had what appeared to be a serious discussion.

The father-of-three appeared to do most of the talking, with an eyewitness telling DailyMail.com that the Grammy nominee was listening “intensely.”

Their conversation continued briefly after parking the car and at one point she reportedly “looked away from him” “as if she was processing what he said.”

Despite the superstar's excited attitude, a source close to the couple told DailyMail.com that they are “very in love with each other.”

It came after Ben and Jennifer were caught in what appears to be another tense interaction while driving through Beverly Hills in May.

The couple were driving when they stopped at a red light and had a heated conversation, in photos taken by a European tourist and exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com.

Ben, who was behind the wheel, looked visibly frustrated as he spoke to Jennifer as she sat in the passenger seat of his Rivian electric SUV, with the windows rolled down.

The Batman star looked very animated as he waved his hands up and down in the air during the apparently heated argument.

The tourist, who witnessed the altercation after pulling up next to their car, told DailyMail.com that it seemed “pretty obvious” from his body language that Ben was “frustrated or irritated”, while Jennifer seemed “timid”.

“There were a lot of hand gestures, Ben was waving his hands up and down and it looked heated,” she said.

“J.Lo looked a little sad. They were so deep in conversation that they didn't even look to the side. They just looked at each other and at the traffic light.

“It clearly looks heated on his end, an argument or argument. There were no other cars or people on the street,” the source added.

The photos came a day after a video of an apparently frustrated Ben slamming the passenger door of his car after Jennifer got into the car went viral on social media.

In another brief public sighting, Ben was seen walking in front of Jennifer to their Mercedes while holding an iced coffee.

He opened his door for his wife, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and then closed the door firmly with a dramatic wave of his arm before walking to the driver's seat.

Fans took to Twitter to comment on the viral clip, noting that he looked “miserable” or “stressed.”

However, just before the door slammed, the couple appeared to be in good spirits, smiling and holding hands during their coffee break.

The two previously raised eyebrows when they attended the premiere of Jennifer's film The Mother in LA.

In an awkward moment while posing on the red carpet, Jennifer had a scowl on her face and gestured to her husband, who looked angry, although a lip reader later clarified it was far from an argument.

After being caught during their apparently tense conversation, they quickly returned to Hollywood mode with beaming grins and stage-worthy kisses.

A lip reader confirmed that Jennifer asked Ben if her low-cut top “showed too much,” prompting him to respond that it looked good.

Later, when the couple managed to find the right pose, the Air actor asked his wife to come a little closer before leaning into her ear and saying, “don't worry, honey.”

To which Jennifer apparently responded by saying, “get close to me.”

After the photo shoot, Ben turned to Jennifer and said 'that's us, done'. He then gave her a kiss and asked if she was okay, to which she replied “yes” before telling him they needed to “step over there.” .

Amid speculation that they had a fight on the red carpet, an insider close to the couple told DailyMail.com that they had no tension whatsoever and said they were in an “incredibly good place.”

“They are in an incredibly good place, very loving and supportive of each other,” the insider revealed.

Tongues first started wagging when the pair appeared to have a tense exchange at the 2023 Grammy Awards in February, although they both later brushed it off.

Ben's somber expression made him a meme that night, and a video of Jennifer apparently snapping at him spread across social media.

However, Ben later clarified the moment, revealing that he was joking with Jennifer, but then realized the camera was on them.

“As soon as they start rolling, I'm going to slide away from you and make you sit next to Trevor,” he told Jennifer, via his interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

“She says, 'You better not leave.' That's a matter of man and woman. I mean, some of it is.” I'm like, 'Okay, who is this act?'

Ben and Jennifer tied the knot in August 2022 after rekindling their romance in 2021.

They were previously engaged in 2002 before going their separate ways two years later.
