Lawrence’s appearance comes just days after a rep for the star confirmed it Fashion that she and husband Cooke Maroney, 40, are expecting their second child.
The Hunger Games actress also made her first red carpet appearance this week since announcing she was expecting.
The Oscar winner wore a beautiful, off-the-shoulder white dress with black buttons down the length of the front of the dress, which tied above her stomach.
She attended the premiere of the documentary Zurawski v Texas, which she co-produced with Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton.
Zurawski v Texas documents the real-life 2023 lawsuit filed by the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of twenty Texas women who were denied abortion care that they claim posed risks to their health and/or fertility, and two obstetricians- gynecologists from Texas in 2023.
Amanda Zurawski, who became pregnant in 2022, was the lead prosecutor on the case.
The lawsuit “asked the state of Texas to clarify the scope of ‘medical emergency’ exceptions under the strict abortion ban, which went into effect after the U.S. Supreme Court’s shocking overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022 .
In May 2024, the Texas Supreme Court ruled that the language used was adequate and declined to “clarify the exceptions to the state’s abortion ban.”
“The court rejected the claims of 20 women who were denied abortion despite serious pregnancy complications,” the Center for Reproductive Rights reported.
“Women denied abortions in Texas despite life-threatening conditions are joining forces with an attorney to file a lawsuit against the state, aiming to restore reproductive rights for themselves and others,” reads the official statement from the documentary. IMDb synopsis.

‘You live in the United States of America. You have to be political. It’s too bad. Politics kills people.’
Lawrence reflected on her first pregnancy and realized what she would have to consider if her life circumstances – or the health of her pregnancy – had been different.
“I had a wonderful pregnancy,” she continued. ‘I had a very happy pregnancy. But every second of my life was different. And sometimes it occurred to me: what if I was forced to do this?’
