In a message also intended for all teachers, Garner wrote: “Thank you for joining me in caring for my children, tying their shoes and holding their hands.
“Thank you for disciplining my children when they needed it and for offering more hugs than some children get in a lifetime. Thank you for all the hard work that comes with having high expectations, for giving in and learning from the discomfort and the joy of tolerating frustration for the sake of a greater good.
‘Thank you for choosing to study and become a teacher, and for doing your job with all your heart. I’m sure the demands and frustrations of the classroom can cloud the mission behind your place in it, but what could be nobler than teaching children – not very much, as far as I know.
“Thank you for being a safe haven for my family; The world is many things to everyone and so many children are struggling with real loss and hardship that it feels selfish to want more for children who have so much.
“But I wanted my three to have a safe place where they could focus on being small, and where education and character were prioritized. What I didn’t know I wanted: teachers willing to dress up for Halloween, wait with bated breath for Zero the Hero, choose the perfect book/science project/Spanish song, take forty kids on a trip, play hockey playing during lunch, working for months on an art fair or performance or the incredible feat of filling a globe with its countries and capitals.
‘Thank you for a wonderful thirteen years. I can’t imagine our family landing anywhere better.
She signed it off ‘with deep respect and endless gratitude.’
Garner posted the message on Instagram and captioned it: ‘A little gratitude for our wonderful family primary school at the end of 13 years together goes to all teachers: thank you for what you do. And congratulations to all the moms with kids moving from one phase to the next.”

“Tell me you graduated without telling me you graduated,” she captioned the post.
On the carousel, Garner could be seen crying in many different locations, including at what appeared to be the birth of her daughter. She had tears in her eyes as she clapped in an audience.
