It looks like Jennifer Garner is taking advantage of the long Labor Day weekend by getting some rest and relaxation.
On Sunday, she went to BMO Stadium in Los Angeles to watch a Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) league match between the Chicago Red Stars and Angel City FC.
The game has extra special significance for the Hollywood star, who also happens to be part of an investment group that now owns the club.
The busy mother of three was dressed casually for the outing, and had prepared for comfort in the fashion department: a white T-shirt, dark sunglasses and her dark brown locks falling straight over her shoulders with a center parting.

Although most people know her as an actress and leading lady in Hollywood since the 1990s, she has since pursued a number of passionate business ventures, including the business side of a sports team.
Once Upon A Farm, a company she co-founded that offers more nutritious, convenient and tasty baby food, is one of the movie star’s projects outside the Hollywood machine of film and television.
Earlier this summer, Garner and her executive team came up with the idea to launch a cross-promotional partnership between her infant nutrition company and the soccer club, also known as football around the world outside the U.S.
Once Upon A Farm will become a team-level partner and the club’s exclusive partner for healthy snacks for children from 2025. This is part of a multi-year partnership.
The team was founded by Academy Award-winning actress and activist Natalie Portman, venture capitalist Kara Nortman and media and gaming entrepreneur Julie Uhrman, the team website.
In addition to Garner, the ACFC ownership group also includes a number of celebrities and prominent individuals, including Jessica Chastain, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Lindsey Vonn, Latin pop star Becky G, MLS legend Cobi Jones and USMNT.

The list also includes tennis legend Billie Jean King, Ilana Kloss, Uzo Aduba, Lilly Singh, activist Glennon Doyle, current and LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and former NFL player Ryan Kalil, and entertainment executive Cindy Holland, and WNBA legend Candace Parker and her daughter Lailaa.
Rounding out the celebrity side of the ownership are 13 former U.S. Women’s National Team players, including Julie Foudy, Mia Hamm, Lauren Cheney Holiday and Abby Wambach
The Angel City FC team is led by two-time Olympic champion Angela Hucles Mangano, who also serves as the team’s general manager, while Becki Tweed serves as head coach.
According to Sportico’s latest valuations, the franchise is worth $180 million, the highest amount in the league. The team’s revenue was $31 million in 2023.
Ultimately, Jennifer Garner, the rest of the owners and their fans got to watch their club beat the Red Stars 2-1 on Sunday, bringing their record to 6 wins, 3 losses and 9 draws, which puts them in 9th place in the NWSL.
Angel City FC is the first professional women’s soccer team from the Los Angeles area since the Los Angeles Sol of Women’s Professional Soccer folded in 2010.
ACFC plays its home games at BMO Stadium, which it shares with Los Angeles FC in Major League Soccer (MLS).

Just two days earlier, Garner appeared to be feeling a bit nostalgic about the extended Labor Day weekend.
Labor Day is a federal holiday that recognizes the American labor movement and the work and contributions of workers to the development and achievements of the United States. For many people, Labor Day has become a day of rest and relaxation, while also marking the unofficial end of summer.
And that’s exactly what the actress and entrepreneur wants to convey with the retro photo she shared on Instagram, in which she can be seen sleeping on her family’s couch, cozying up with her cat.
“Wishing you a long weekend with a couch, a book and a cat, 70s style,” Garner, now 52, captioned the post, which shows her at about age seven or eight.
