Jennifer Garner reveals the phrase she has ‘a really hard time not saying’ to her three kids she shares with ex Ben Affleck in candid interview
As Jennifer Garner’s children grow up, the mother of three is confident in their potential.
The Golden Globe winner, 51, explained that the three children she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck – Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, are “really solid now” as she spoke People about parenting.
“I’m just watching them in this new phase of life where they’re figuring out who they’re going to become and what they’re going to study,” she explained.
“And I’m so into it,” Garner added. “I’m always interested in everything about them.”
Garner admitted that it’s “so hard” to let her children make their own decisions.

“I mean, my parents did that too, and I’m so amazed by that,” she said.
“I find it really hard not to say, ‘This is how I see you,’ and ‘I think you should…’” Garner explained. “I really have to sit on my hands.”
Garner previously turned the tables on her teenage daughters when she sought advice for her Netflix body swap film Family Switch.
“I definitely went into my teenage years and asked a lot of questions,” she told People. “They all said, ‘Mom, you’re crazy.'”
In the film, she and Ed Helms play parents who switch places with their teenage children for a day.
“My kids are funny and smart, and they work very hard,” she said at the time. “And their teenage antics are next level, so I’m fine.”
‘You know what? “I think my kids work so hard and there’s so much pressure on them that I could never have imagined as a teenager,” Garner added.

The Alias alum said “it hasn’t really sunk in yet” that Violet is getting ready for college, adding that she’ll have “moments where it hits me.” But so far I’m just excited for her.”
She was married to the 51-year-old Oscar winner from 2005 to 2018.
Garner and Affleck were recently spotted together at Samuel’s basketball games, as well as during his 12th birthday trip to Disneyland.
The co-parents are in talks to work together again on an upcoming Netflix film, directed by Affleck and which could star Garner opposite his longtime friend Matt Damon.
