Jennifer Garner was having some summer fun with her 17-year-old daughter Violet, jokingly hiding behind her to protect herself from photographers.

The 51-year-old actress was spotted shopping at an eyewear store in Pacific Palisades on Monday.

The outing comes just after Garner revealed what she misses most in her life before becoming a celebrity.

Garner stepped out in a black sweatshirt and black biker pants for her outing with her oldest child, Violet.

She had her dark hair tied back in a ponytail and stepped out in dark sunglasses for the outing.

Garner completed her look with a pair of light blue running shoes while out and about with her daughter.

Violet opted for a long white sleeveless dress with red polka dots that fell to her calves.

She also wore clear glasses with a bright yellow bracelet on her right wrist for the outing.

The teen completed her look with a pair of gray running shoes that resembled her mother’s.

“It’s a huge loss when you’re the one who’s eyes are on,” said The Last Thing He Told Me star.

“The lack of just being able to smile at someone on the street and say hello as yourself is very intense,” she added.

The 51-year-old actress commented that while the privilege of being able to say hello herself was “something to grieve and not take lightly,” she also believed it was a “natural outgrowth of…success.”

In other words, Jennifer said, “It’s not something to be totally afraid of.”

The Houston-born actress first rose to fame with her starring role in Alias, where Jennifer played a double agent who worked for the CIA and a criminal organization.

During the roundtable discussion, the down-to-earth actress revealed that many fans still recognize her for her 13 Going on 30 role.

“It’s, ‘Oh, it’s my comfort movie,’ or, God forbid, ‘My mom’s favorite movie,” the mom-of-three joked.

She recently starred in the Apple series The Last Thing He Told Me, which debuted on the streaming service in April.
